The burning of the Quran on the 11th, and something you should know.

The people who are for the Quran burning definitely have the right to do so, burn ten if you want. But I have to say You all look like a bunch of ignorant pricks. There's no reason for the hate of Islam in the first place. Basically, we used to be their good buddies back in the day, back when we benefited off of them while giving them weapons to fight the Russians. Back then, the leverage that the propaganda had against us isn't much different then the same tactics they use today to make us fear the -insert different culture here- Because they're everywhere and they have #-tons of -insert weapon here- They will -insert verb here- your family and your fellow citizen because they absolutely hate you and the fact that your an American, and by god -insert a god here..wait no, only Jesus- we will put -insert drastic minimization of your freedom here- in place to protect you from -insert "imminent danger" here- And you'd better be #ing terrified because they're attacking tomorrow, or this week, or..just stay alert at all times citizen.
That sums up the past 9 years, and most of our wars. Do you realize how easily people buy into it? The fear that Americans have felt because of what we were being told, and the propaganda and constant reassuring that what they are doing is patriotic and right was the same spiel the German people got before going third Reich on Europe's ass. Iran could be to America what Poland was to Germany. And we'd have Iran from all sides, right out of Hitlers play book
The same people who have backed our current war time and time again are the same one's who don't actively speak against hate and sometime encourage hate against Muslims.

Please rethink your hate for another religion just because there's a very small minority of them who would love to kill you. The reason why some of them kill our soldiers is because we're occupying their countries and killing a lot of civilians in the cross fire, and sometimes deliberately. That doesn't mean their culture is based on terrorism. Would you not do the same if we were invaded? I think the better thing to do this 11th would be to donate some money for the victims of the flooding in Pakistan. Show some damn respect for other cultures. This world is a lot more than just America.

I stopped reading your post at this point. If you had something contructive to say or a way to impart some kind of wisdom or new thoughts on it then you would have not needed to insult people.

I could care less if they burn the American flag. I could care less if you burnt a Quran.I'm not coddling those who are burning the American flag and images of the preacher, I can't speak in Arabic to let them know they also look like a bunch of ignorant people. I would like for Muslims to realize that Americans like you make up a very small part of our country and that we all don't think like you. And I would like for Americans to realize that the Muslim religion doesn't equal extremist suicide bombing hijackers.

The whole point of my thread - if you happened to wade through it after that crucial first sentence - Is that the hate Americans are stirring up against Muslims is likely to cause some #ty stuff to happen down the road. What I find perplexing is that the biggest sources of hate and propaganda in this country are behind labeling the peaceful and logical ones as hateful socialist Nazis that should burn in hell.

I believe my first sentence was also correct. Some may think people look like pricks for condemning a religion and burning their holy book because of ignorance of Islam in the first place.

Do you also hate American born Muslims? And go ahead, reference Ft. Hood and Nidal Malik Hasan. But also reference all the school shootings in American history compared to all the terror attacks carried out by Muslims. Don't forget Joseph Stack, James Earl Ray, THIS , Bill Ayers, Eric Rudolph. The list goes on.

Just know that all this hate is taking us in a very bad direction. Learn to differentiate between Muslims and terrorists; They are not one in the same. I think the only way for you to truly understand is to suffer through terrorist attacks from your own people over and over. Then live through being associated with that terrorism because of your religion. How would you feel if another country ripped through America, blowing # up and killing off your family and friends, And when you decided to fight back you were labeled as the bad one. All because some lunatic fringe decided to gather under their version of your religion and attack a populated city in another country? We could just as easily be labeled the terrorists if some Christian-fringe group planned out such an attack on foreign grounds.

You're the only one saying THAT. I haven't heard a SOUL state that they felt that all muslims were terrorists.

None of it means anything. They are all paper and ink or cloth and ink. They all promote bad things which we should all just move on from. In today's day and age though-it wont be possible to annihilate all those Grapes of Wrath books *shudder*.

The ideas they promote will remain, people will get their panties bunched up and wedged in any crack they can over this and then: it will go away. As the Christian Cross Bearers squeal every year that evil people are trying to destroy Christmas... Contention, religious martyrdom and provocational porn is the life bread of these people.

I think it would be so nice to just toss them in the bonfire too. But then, I am not Christian so I consider such things wrong. I am an educated individual which means I agree with the right to burn any such book by an individual whether I like the meaning of it or not. I support gay marriage because I do not have the right to limit others. I support "socialized medicine" because I think my tax dollars are better used saving lives than going after people across the world so more business owners can gather more dynastic wealth. I support "socialized education" because a smart citizenry is a powerful one.

Any rational and intelligent individual fights for the rights of all. Like dominos: once they start falling you run out of friends. On the one hand we have to support the right to burn the stupid things, on the other we must not hesitate to put bullets through the heads of Christian terrorists who are targeting taxi drivers who profess Islam, or mosque burners.

This all has to do with doing the right thing BECAUSE it is the right thing.
Thats the only way it can be really.
