In light of the peace talks Iran is showing whose side they are on...

Honestly, it's getting blatant that Islamic/Arabic countries use the Palestinian people as a political stature and bargaining tool. Iran still stones their woman to death over adultery, and they care so much about the Palestinians having their houses bulldozed?

Oh boy, another great post that only serves to further divide people with differing opinions.

Iran may wanna rethink their drink on this one.....they can't honestly believe they'd have a chance against them. I guess alot more people are gonna die, and once again somehow this will be Americas fault.

Actually, the post was brought on by months and months of reading consistent attacks by one against another here on ATS, and was an off the cuff remark, both to bump an important thread by CanadianDream, as well as to underscore what was, and is about to take place, as the debate rages wearily on, while Israel talks peace, and Iran celebrates the Palestinian cause, by using them as a posturing tool, to get their message out. So, I do not seek division, it simply happens, with or without my input, thank you....

But are you not using how Iran treats women accused of adultery, to in effect criticize Islamic/Arabic countries .
As a means of countering Iran's criticism, of Israel's treatment of the Palestinian people.

Does the use of the Death penalty in some U.S states (something which many cultures consider abhorrent) , strip its citizenry of the right to protest inequalities found in other parts of the world ?

Perhaps we should focus on whether the issues raised have any merit , rather than whom it is raising the issue.

The `Palestinian issue` has recently been tethered to the `Iranian issue` , with Israel willing to concede XY and Z to the Palestinians in exchange for The U.S.A / E.U`s support to confront Iran. Is it so crazy to think that Iranians might have an opinion of their own regarding Palestine... considering that they are part of the bargain Israel is attempting to forge via U.S mediators?

And we cannot ignore how many nations are using the Iranian issue` for political gain and prestige bestriding the world stage. U.S.A , Israel , E.U collectively and individual states, China, Russia, Brazil, Turkey ....... etc.

You really can't put the two in the same context. The Death Penalty is usually reserved for Guilty Murderers who failed to plead Guilty.

Stoning a woman to death for an alleged affair is a completely different thing, not alone barbaric and stone aged (no pun intended).

As far as I am concerned, Iran is using the Palestinian situation to back ride their way into control of the middle east. Now that the troops are leaving Iraq, I wouldn't be surprised if Iran has their finger-in-the-pie there too.
