What about the apostles who knew him and insisted that: He was the Son of God, He did die and come back alive, He did die to forgive the sins of all who believe in Him, He will return and does cast judgment for God. They actually died terrible deaths all the while claiming the same.

My point is, what if the truth was right in front of people's faces, and many just didn't want to believe and want to make esoteric interpretations because the explanation is too simple?

That my friend is Truth. Truth is very simple but our societies have brainwashed us into believing pseudo-cultural beliefs. It's all around us.

As far as the apostles and whatnot... yes? I'm not denying their stories, I'm denying that they spoke only those messages. Would you like to know why most people stick with esoteric information after they start to research esoteric beliefs?

There are texts that have been preserved which explain certain aspects that have not been explained by mainstream belief. These texts remain hidden for various reasons (excellent reasons I might add), but the Truth is very open, available, and non-secret. People's thinking has just become so backwards that they won't believe it if you show them. That's why there are so many esoteric texts... it takes some people longer than others to realize the simple Truth.

I used to think the gnostic gospels were true, but based on my personal experiences and thinking carefully, I think the normal gospels were the truth.

What about all the saints who had mystical experiences that agree with the official canon? Are they just stupid or liars? Why would they agree with non-esoteric messages? What if the truth was the official canon and people just couldn't believe it and had to interpret it their way?

I don't know which saints in particular you're speaking about but they're probably not stupid or liars. Mystical experiences don't always rely on methodology to happen. Many times all it takes is simple belief, which is another simple Truth. Some of them may have been charlatans but belief is a very powerful tool.

As a matter of fact, scientists sometimes use placebos and patients report results even though there's no medication to be found. Some people who claim to be therapeutic touch specialists don't really know how to channel universal energy (which is definitely possible) but they think they can because their patients BELIEVE the treatment will work.

I was actually just about to create a thread about that.

Then why can you represent infinite numbers with a limited set of 10 symbols?
So your postulate does not hold.

key word there is represent. you cannot prove it, you can only demonstrate the idea. it's still a theory that you've got to believe is real. as a matter of fact, i have to believe that numbers represent anything at all.
