How do you picture the United States from the begging to now?

I just wanted to start a thread to see what others think of America since it's founding to today. You don't have to go into much detail but you can if you want. I'm going to do some research before I post latter. Remember to keep it civil and fun. Complement someone you don't agree with.

THE whole problem with any historical reference, is those that want to ingratiate their rhetoric.

Religion, ethnicity, wealth, blah blah blah.

Here is the ULTIMATE problem, those with the POWER have ALWAYS caused the problem. PERIOD.

Let us take a look at history shall we?

Slavery and bigotry. Government and business controlled.

Bigotry and economic problems. Government and business controlled.

Freedoms and liberty problems. Government controlled.

Taxation and economic problems. Government and business controlled.

Hmmm, I could go on, but FOR SOME REASON a pattern seems to exist.

Business can be an ass, now when I ran my company, I did not have ANY slaves, I did NOT screw them. I actually paid a percentage of the profit. NOW, the government on the otherhand NEVER cares about anything, they HAVE THE POWER!

But oh well, why don't we CONTINUE to blame the capitalists, THAT HAVE NO POWER, except for you to buy their items.

Anyway, I guess that idea that I came up with, I better just foget aboooooutttt it. Because I would be an EVIL capitalist if I suggest it and expect anything in return!?

I basically view the history of the USA as "same # different day".

It is slowly improving, however.

You cannot name one type of race or religon on this globe that has not been a victim of racism..... Don't blame the US. It's a world wide problem.
