noobie question

sorry if this has been asked befor and i wasnt quite sure where to place this post but as its about aircraft i thought here would do. after seeing a chopper with a search light on around my town in the same direction and time the last few nights i was wondering if it possable to estimate the where abouts of the helicopter from the size/distance it is so i could go and have a look around
now befor you all say just drive over in that direction im not old enough to drive so if the

any help would be apreicated

By day it will be easy to find the place,
By night, it's harder...
But you will need to estimate and you'll stll have to search. Just try to define a probable area on map and check there !

identify the type: check the dimensions on the Net and it should be relatively straightforward geometry.
