I've been searching the forums to try and find this picture, but with no luck, so I decided to put ut up here.

Here's some history of this mythical plane:

In March 1990, the magazine Aviation Week & Space Technology first broke the news that the term "Aurora" was inadvertently released in the 1985 US budget, as an allocation of $US455 million for "black aircraft production" (emphasis added) in FY 1987. Note that this was for building aircraft, not research and development.[5] According to Aviation Week, Aurora referred to a group of exotic aircraft projects, and not to one particular airframe. Funding of the project allegedly reached $US2.3 billion in fiscal 1987, according to a 1986 procurement document obtained by Aviation Week. However, according to Ben Rich, former director of Lockheed's Skunk Works (now the Lockheed Advanced Development Company), Aurora was the code name for the B-2 stealth bomber competition funding, and no such hypersonic plane ever existed.[6]

There's something peculiar about the shadows, or lack thereof, but I would like if anyone could try to prove if this is real or fake. It would also be interesting if anyone could try and translate the writings as well, it's mostly unintelligible to me.

making it a known hoax allows plausible deniability.

Here are a few links for you, 1 from ATS the other outside sources:

www.fas.org...
www.abovetopsecret.com...
www.rense.com...

Just do a google search, plenty will come up. Unfortunately I don't have a definitive answer as to if it's real or not. I do personally believe that there is way more advanced aircraft than the F-22, F-35, B2's. I mean, if the US is willing to participate in a terrorist exercise with Russia recently with 2 x F-22's, they must be old tech by now.

Come on, you don't show your hand in a poker game, do you

I've run out of time to find the site that explained it. Sorry! I usually get link then post

There's a member who runs a thread exposing aviation hoaxes and I believe he also showed how it was hoaxed. You'll notice the shadows of the onlookers are in conflict with the shadow of the 'craft?' Underneath the 'aurora' is a conventional craft and a normal works photograph. The hoaxer had overlaid the triangle and photoshopped it onto the pinboard image with sepia to suggest age. The writing's in German to imply Project Paperclip. By releasing a supposed photograph of a photograph on a pinboard, it proved hard to prove hoax.

Aviation fans can be pretty hardball guys and someone recognised the original image. The site I was looking for had a side by side presentation. I assumed it was Forgetamori.com but it's not there.

Somebody better take those stars back. Hopefully the right link will be posted before I come back again.

I appreciate you taking the time to try and dig it up, I trust your word, but it would be interesting to read through the detailed explanation though.

I believe this is the photo he is referring to:

Using a stretch function in photoshop, and other tampering techniques to give it an old authentic look, and voila!

Not my thread but I did post on this particular subject.

About 3/4 of the way down.

DeBunked Thread Ideas

The thread is always worth reading if you are unsure about a photo or plane rumour, also nice and sticky so easy to find.

Hope this helps,
Jensy
