There is NOTHING left but sarcasm. Especially in a community such as ATS, if people still haven't figured out the whole sham of the Reps v. Dems paradigm then we are truly and forever screwed. But people are just too blatantly ignorant to get it. It's always the other guys fault. My party will fix everything. And so it goes on-and-on. Election after election. And NOTHING gets better. We get less secure, less free, lower standard of living and just screwed harder faster and deeper with every passing administration. We'll all be looking through barbed wire before the majority of brain-dead voters wake up. And the truly scary and sad part? Just like the people who can't sing for crap that audition for Idol every season thinking they are the next Mariah Carey, the sheeple perpetuating this scam on the populace actully think they have a clue.

"Let's be realistic. Palin doesn't stand a chance of getting nominated, least elected. I don't think she's as dumb as the media makes her out to be but I think people don't like that she ditched her job as an elected official mid-term. People don't like quitters."

I appreciate your sentiment but think about this:
Whether or not she abandoned her post or left to energize the base is a matter of perception. That being said, I would ask that you consider who has been controlling the message. Most would say, and I would agree, that the implosion on the left is at least in part due to their obsession with hating anyone who would dare protect the constitution. And she certainly bears that flag. It is up to all of us to see through the "message" and remember that when this country thrives, it has always been because we had a free marketplace of products and ideas, as stated in the constitution, and a distinct absence of extreme government intervention. Remember that the enemies of freedom are those who would take it, offering in it's place, promises of free government cheese and safety. Anyone who will work towards a limited federal government, as stated in the constitution, will get my vote. The fact that an overbearing administration fears her is an added bonus. Apparently her actions have been to very positive effect, as evidenced by the polls. Are some quick to buy in to the msm portrayal as an intellectual light weight? Unfortunately, yes. However, In some sense, that is because a traditionalist is not accustomed to such a strong presence from a woman. Hillary snuck into a prominant role on the coattails of a man. This was to some less intimidating. But again, could a slow and shallow person change the fortunes of an entire state, energize the conservative base and draw the ire of foreign influence (including the Kenyan). Don't answer, that was rhetorical. Of course not. Give credit where credit is due. This woman has taken the fire and earned my respect and vote, although I didn't like her support of McCain. That being said, he may lose to Hayworth, and if not, he will be compelled to go along with her conservative agenda, as he picked her to run in 08.
Let me remind you that you, I and anyone with a decent life all have a bullseye on our backs from Obama the magic doosh bag and his merry band of marxists.

Agreed!

People have let their ideology replace their common sense. They want a victory so bad that they are blind to the string puller, corporate/military industrial complex/lobbiest that actually rule. It's much more comfortable to listen to Rush, Sean, Savage and wave a flag staind by the blood of innocents.

It's been said before and it's true...."America gets the best government money can buy"

Politics is just a transparent sham, perpetrated on fools to give them the illusion of freedom of choice.

And it oh so easy to identify the F00LS.

And lets not make this thread about Sarah Palin, because clearly she is not the focus of the OP article.

The big news is that people that once supported (drank the kool-aid) obama are now deserting him in droves.

You can even tell that here on ATS as there was once a small "army" of obama supporters, while now there seems to be only a few left.

Curious, which of them will be the last one?

You Sir deserve a Flag! Star for sure.

Notice, whenever Palin is interjected in any conversation on ATS-a certain few come out like banchees!! Very predicable.

Notice too they didn't say a word about the main topic line. Nope. Saw Palin and the attack mode switched. Which shows me more that they are afraid of her and will say anything against her without proof or knowledge. They just like to seem like they are in the popular clic-guess what-they aren't.

Curious, which of them will be the last one?

Maybe we can exchange ideas/thoughts on who will be the last fool to support him here on ATS. I have my top 3 contenders.

Not by a long shot. Scads of candidates have run 2, 3, even 4 times for the office (Eugene Debs being the one who ran 4 times). I believe Reagan ran 3 times, losing his first 2 attempts and Nixon also lost his first 2 tries. Also, important to differentiate, Palin did not run for president in 2008... she was purely the candidate running for vice president with McCain being the actual candidate for the main office.
(FWIW, if Ron Paul runs in 2012, I believe that will mark his 3rd official attempt with a 4th attempt in 2004 being less on his actions and more on a grassroots attempt to draw him into the election.)

The past 3 presidents, however, have been first shot guys. Might indicate an important voter trend which the GOP should consider in selection of a candidate. Can anybody say "Jan Brewer," "Jeb Bush," or "Gary Johnson?"

GO PALIN 2012!!!!!

This poll you are so excited about, the one between Obama and your imaginary favorite republican - what might it say Palin's chances are in comparison? How about any of the actual republicans gunning for that spot? How do they rank? Having voted democrat last time, I would say that I would vote for an imaginary republican too. Now, can you find a real person to match that kind of support? Do you really think Palin would? Really?

no suprise

obama and his cronies think they have it bad-ITS NOTHING WHAT WAS DONE TO REPUBLICANS AND BUSH.

for 8 years i saw the way democrats treated bush that was all i needed to know about the democratic party.

thats the main reason i will never become a democrat

but................BUT!

i dont give the majority of americans high iq points reason being the 60% that voted for him.... the minority like me if you call 45 million a minority knew what was comming.

having said all that the "smarts" of the american people are also wishy washy they can flip flop at the drop of a hat.

so it would be no surpise if biden will be correct and dems dont lose later this year or in 2012.

Yes.

Don't make me go on a Palin rant. Too busy tonight and, the thread is not about her. It is about that losing/done nothing/socialist Obama.

The stop the bluster and just show me any poll that has her actually winning the majority vote. You can link to her supporters all you like but as long as their numbers are still so small, who cares?

Show me one potential republican candidate that polls better than Obama right now. If you can show that with Palin, I am done with ATS.

Can't stand Obama, but when the 3rd Bush gets in office, can we all finally agree this game is rigged?

This is getting tiresome. What the hell can we do about it? Anything?

Well, BIG DUH!

The irony though is how it was done with the most outrageous conspiracy spin.
OMG! the sky is falling! OMG! Communism, ww3, everybody run for your lives! OMG! They're all puppets, quick... revolution! Oh wait, there's my buddy in there! Drop the weapons everybody; let's go great our buddy here.

That'll teach them liberals to start reptilian rumors about Bush.

Some people have no shame in their game but hey, don't hate the player, hate the game.
Alex Jones must be impatiently waiting for his next "deception video" star.

America elected Bush twice, three times if you count dad...

Saying that its shocking that Americans would elect another retard like Palin to office is like being astonished that a dog would eat his own faeces

Could not say it any better.

I don't know if it will be Obama or a mystery Republican in '12.

I can damn sure guarantee they'll be a screw-up, though. All we need is another Authoritarian shill to keep this country on the track its been on.

You have to discount the likes of Palin and Paul because they are not genuine presidential candidates rather they are just out to sell more books and build a bigger profile for themselves . You also have to bear in mind that people will vote for rabble if the alternative is or viewed to be worse . This is what I just about expect to happen in 2012 .

Cheers xpert11.

I fear that racism might grow if Palin does better than Obama. I'd much rather Colin Powell as the next president. Palin can be VP.

She didn't ditch her Job, she left to get the Conservative base energized.

I love the way neocons attempt to rewrite history.

FACT CHECK: She "resigned" from her duly elected position half way through her term. She FAILED to serve the people who elected her and fulfill her obligation for the prospect of making some dough. i.e. She sold out.

Please don't spin the facts to infer it was somehow for "the greater good." Lipstick and high heels aside, she is a quitter, period.
