The Washington Post has an excellent article and video about the new branches of top secret intelligence offices in America post 9/11.



The government has built a national security and intelligence system, so big, so complex and so hard to manage, no one really knows if it's fulfilling its most important purpose; keeping its citizens safe.

What do you guys think? There seems to be so many reports being written about incidents and investigations that no one can keep track of them or even read them all, and so many private companies working under no control. Kinda crazy!

Something to think about at least.

Yeah I was reading about this earlier yesterday, about how the budget for these intelligence agencies exceeds the money spent for education and everything else, in fact, everything else that would actually help the country. The money being spent on intel stuff dwarfs all the other programs combined..

I think it is a real beast that cannot be killed at this point... (yikes)
