Here's something I've been wondering about...

I keep seeing the whole "third of the oceans will turn red" thing mentioned in some of the oil spill threads.

From the Book of Revelation:

Revelation 8:8 - And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

Now, I'm not saying this doesn't fit the situation...but...

The passage before that says:

Revelation 8:7 - The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

Did I miss this happening somewhere or have people decided to just skip over this part and go straight on to the next?

Not to downplay the severity of the situation, but things here at ATS do occasionally get a little "romanticized" (to put it politely).
