Indian mum tries to flush newborn baby down plane toilet

An Indian woman gave birth to a baby in the lavatory of an international passenger plane and tried to dispose of it down the toilet, media reports in New Delhi said on Thursday.

I had to post this article - as macabre as it is.

What was this woman going through emotionally to try and flush her tiny baby down a plane toilet. Desperation or insanity?

What the hell could motivate anybody to do this?!?

I am utterly bemused.

Forget about the baby or the mother for a minute,this could have blocked up the toilet and jammed the flush motor possibly causing a fire putting the whole plane in jeopardy.This may sound harsh but this woman put many lives at risk.

Perhaps the child was a basterd and she was scared for her life of the ramifications?

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing...but there are numerous possibilities.
Could be a victim of rape, could be that she had sexual contact and couldn't afford an abortion...too many reasons.

If she's from an orthodox family...and unmarried...I do think that she's had sexual contact and not very happy about it XD
