Snippet from articleby "MSNBC":

WELLINGTON, New Zealand — Police are hoping an autopsy will explain what caused a man to slump over in his chair and die while watching a screening of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” at a Wellington cinema.

The 23-year-old, described by police as a transient, was found unresponsive in his chair, with no obvious injuries, after a screening of the vampire romance movie on Sunday night, the New Zealand Herald reported.

Paramedics could not resuscitate him.

Seem's awfully young to be passing away at a movie, and of course it had to be the premiere of this one "Eclipse"...

Hope this isn't a new form of publicity stunt, cause that would be truly scary....

You should have seen all the deaths when Exorcist first came out in theater.

9 people died in theater

man died watching avatar
www.cbsnews.com...

it happens all the time, just gets more news when it's blockbusters

I was at a theater once watching seriously crappy Anaconda when it first came out and guy died in the front row. They had to stop the movie and bring in ambulance, we all got refunds and the commotion at least made up for the crappy movie.

I don't see what is strange about it. Death doesn't politely wait for a person to finish whatever they are doing before taking them. 23 year olds have heart attacks and other sudden deaths too. Not just older people.
And if he was a transient like it says, he may have been in poor health anyway.
Sad, but not strange at all.

Strange in the context of the movie being shown, is all, of course any death can happen at any time, but, at this type of movie, it does peak some peoples interest.....albeit, not all

I agree with the majority here and say it is not strange at all. I see a lot of young people die while I am working for the hospital. A few with no immediate known cause. They get sent to the coroner for CoD. When it's your time it's your time.

those nine deaths were of people involved in making the movie, not watching it.

I think he died from a sparkling vampire overload.

Or it was so terrible that he died of boredom...

That is the true mystery that you just are not seeing!
If these stories get out more when the movie is a blockbuster, then why was it reported on for the Twilight movie?!

Maybe he got so excited and into it that his heart beat went waay up causing an overload leading to his death.
