IRS Needs $10 Billion to Be Nation's Health Enforcer

(CNSNews.com) – The Internal Revenue Service will function as the government’s chief enforcer for health care reform, should President Obama sign the bill into law as expected, monitoring both businesses and individuals to certify whether they have the insurance coverage the government requires.

If either an individual or a business has failed to comply with this mandate for any month out of the year, they are required to pay a separate tax to the IRS. For individuals this is a maximum of $750 per person (up to $2,250 per household) and $750 per uncovered employee for businesses.

In order to carry out its new monitoring and enforcement duties, the Congressional Budget Office estimated that the IRS will need $10 billion in additional funds, funds which were not made available under the health reform bill.

I simply can not stop laughing...

Saying "I told you so", just does not quite cover it...

Perhaps "Tip of the Iceberg" would be more appropriate.

Anyone that did not understand that this bill is a cash hog, (not cow) and is going to cost the American Tax Payer far more than a simple pound of flesh.

Here is the scenario.

The bulk of the money the government brings in, comes from the "common" working stiff and the "small business owner".. Now anyway...

What we have been seeing is these same small businesses watching their profits disappear into the politicians pockets are closing their doors and taking early retirements, going under the radar or just plain living off their savings. Why? I would suppose they are tired of working to support a government out of control, tired of supporting government workers and those that refuse to be employed. I don't blame them.

Any doubts about this?

Take a look at the last quarterly report. Fully 90% of all the reported jobs created, were government jobs. Now the money to pay those workers is tax money, plain and simple. Unemployment is still increasing, due to the aforementioned businesses closing their doors.

Now this...

So the bill itself costs us the equivalent of the GDP for most medium sized countries, but just wait for it folks, this is just the beginning. 10 billion here, 20 billion there, and hey, all this administration needs to do to pay for it is print more money.. We are not on the gold standard after all...



I'm sorry but I just can not quit laughing...

So, we are going to hire more government employees and pay them with tax money obtained from ???????? As unemployment increases, tax revenues decline. Anyone not agree with that? Common sense isn't it?

So we increase the tax burden on those still trying to work and pay their taxes. "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesars" after all... Yet for how long? How long before the few tax payers that are left catch on to what is happening, begin to realize they are paying for a government that could care less about small business or the average tax paying American. How long before they quit as well and start to live off of the government?

10 billion huh?

This is far from over.

I can only harken back to what my Granny always used to tell me.

I know that for those that are reading this that live off of the government payroll in one way or the other, this really does not matter to you. Not as long as you are still getting your check. The fact that we now have a government that is forcing free Americans to buy a product or service, means nothing as long as you get your check. I just wonder where the money is going to come from to cash that check in a very short time.

I do not now nor have I ever believed in Healthcare Insurance.

How Dare You Mr. President and Congress...

I want Healthcare where I can get reasonable service without paying a middle-man what equals legalized extortion, to get a lower cost, for services rendered.

We should not need a Healthcare Insurance program there should be instead regulation.

Regulation over the entire Healthcare industry to charge reasonable prices.

Otherwise, I am being forced to not only pay extortion, but my Government is supporting a criminal organized affair, there is a law covering that.

You sir, have said exactly what I was thinking as well. I guess they liked the extortion model they saw working for the car insurance co's and decided that forced insurance is swell. But yeah you are exactly right!

One of the things I see that has been corrupted the most is the overall attitude of politicians..

How many times have you heard one of them say... "In my opinion?"

Who cares about "their" opinion? I sure don't..

I vote to have them elected to represent "MY" opinion.. The opinion of the constituents...

This bill is a perfect example of how this has been bastardized beyond recognition... While every poll was very clear in that the majority of Americans stood against this bill, the opinion of the politicians was clear; and they ran it down our collective throats.

I can understand car insurance, even if I do not believe it, yet purchase it anyway.

Personally, car insurance should be a mandatory paycheck withdrawal, into a Car Insurance savings program, that we as citizens cannot touch, until a car accident happens.

A Police Officer decides at the scene who is to blame, a system is set up fairly for payment/repair, and if the determination is more than local Law Enforcement can ascertain at that time, say due to a death, or something more complex, the case goes to court, and it is ruled upon by a Judge based upon evidence.

If we never get into a car accident in 20 years, we should be allowed to get a pay-out.

Because car insurance and Health Insurance is nothing more than gambling we will not need that money, so why does the Insurance Broker, essentially the Casino, get to keep any of my money if I never get into a car accident or never need hospitalization?

Now, this Healthcare being mandatory, is a joke, it is legalized extortion, period.

I get sick once every 5 years, if I am in a car accident, it's covered under car insurance, if I am injured at work, Worker Compensation and work is responsible.

So, why exactly do I need to pay for something I do not need, nor do I want?

In the last last two decades I have been to the doctor or hospital about 6 times.

I spent around $2,000 between all visits, combined, if I had paid Health Insurance all those years, that is $30 per pay check, times how many years at 2 paychecks a month?

Yeah, I don't need, or want Healthcare, it should be available, not mandatory.

And I am not paying for something I do not want or need period.

I will tell that to Barack Obama's face or any Congress member and they can get bent.

That is just it, semperfortis, we elected them to represent us, not themselves.

To represent our opinions, not their own, nor their lobbyist group or special interest groups.

So, do these people care to look again, because America is telling them no.

When the Town Hall meetings were held none of the politicians could speak of the Healthcare Reform, that they were there to speak about, yet American citizens knew what the Hell was going on, this is because the Healthcare Industry wrote that bill, not the politician's who are lazy and useless.

They have gotten far too sloppy and lost their ability to play the charade anymore.
