Why on Earth would you want to do that? If you have the chance to see one of nature's most spectacular events (and if you're in the USA, you have
zero chance of seeing the 2010 eclipse), you really should be looking at it with your own eyes!
Hah, I suppose one might judge that a fair tradeoff.
A tradeoff it is though. There's still plenty of ultraviolet light coming at you, and what's more, your eyes become "adjusted" to darker
conditions, therefore your pupils expand, taking in even more ultraviolet light. Looking directly at eclipses is supposedly very dangerous.
At least that's what all the adults said when I was 9 and there was an eclipse.
