For those of you who enjoy cooking and live in hunting country-
advertise locally and on Craig's list to hunters that you will cook for them for hunting season-
especially if you live in a rural area where many come in to hunt.
If you aren't comfortable with them coming to your home (or live alone and are nervous about it)
then a way to stay in compliance with "food laws" is to ask your church (or a church if you don't attend) if you can use their kitchen facilities
to prepare the food items.
(this also is a cheap and easy way to prepare baked good to sell on the side legally, for those without commercial kitchens). Most churches will allow
you to do this either free or for very low fees.
One can make a killing during deer, trout, turkey, ski season, and in the summer months as well- it can really become a year round income if managed
correctly and one is a good cook and becomes well known and cultivates regulars.
A side bonus is getting to know new people and through food- a way to really connect.
