Obama Has Lost His Foreign Luster and What Little Influence he Had

Obama certainly proves that you can't polish the turd that is his careless Economic Spending Plan as proposed to the G20. His plan is failing miserably here in the States and he as the audacity to push it on other nations. I guess he wants some company on his sinking ship.

The Brits are the latest country to say adios to Obama's idea of spending your way out of trouble. They are actually joining the Germans with the crazy policy of SPENDING CUTS and belt tightening.

George Osborne presented the U.K. government's emergency budget yesterday, with spending cuts and consumption-tax hikes intended to shrink public borrowing to 1.1% of GDP by 2016, down from 10.1% of GDP this year. Nearly 80% of that retrenchment comes as spending cuts rather than tax increases. The Chancellor of the Exchequer's cuts are, on balance, good news for the British economy. Even more welcome, though, is that Mr. Osborne's budget is the latest to depart from the short-lived Keynesian consensus that government can spend its way back to prosperity.

Austerity plans during periods of financial struggle!! What a concept! That concept helped my grandparents survive the depression and allowed them to help others who had greater needs than them. The UK and Germany certainly have the right idea.

Obama sent a letter to the G20 nations urging them to keep spending like money is going out of style. It just may be!! Keep in mind that Obama has tripled the US deficit in his first year alone!!

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said Tuesday his party will not approve a traditional budget that sets spending guidelines for the new fiscal year.

Instead, Hoyer, D-Md., used a speech before the think tank Third Way to announce plans for the House to unveil what he called a “budget enforcement resolution” in its place.

Hoyer says this blueprint will curb discretionary spending (money the government spends on programs except Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid) beyond cuts called for in President Obama’s budget and look for ways to trim wasteful spending.

Hoyer also argued the reason to punt on a regular budget was because Mr. Obama’s fiscal commission that aims to slash the debt hasn’t completed it’s work yet.

“It isn’t possible to debate an pass a realistic, long-term budget until we’ve considered the bipartisan commission’s deficit-reduction plan,” Hoyer said. “I believe that Congress must take up and vote on that plan.”

Is it any wonder why the White House budget director quits

Is it any wonder why other nations are wising up to reality while Obama continues to run from it? Perhaps Obama can simply golf his problems away.

The way I see it the solution is simple and the Germans have it right. Think about your household budget. When you are in debt and have maxed out your lines of credit you can't spend your way out of that debt, you have to cut back on your spending and actually pay some of the debts off to have any breathing room. If your spending outweighs your income you end up with a negative net worth. Piling on more debt to get out of the debt you are already in doesn't make any sense at all.

Yes, I find those sun faded stickers to be rather amusing nowadays. I'm going to start collecting BP bumper stickers to place right next to the famed Hope sticker.

Oddly enough, I saw a very tattered Dukakis sticker on an old Pontiac Bonneville the other day. I got a good laugh out of that flashback to the once touted Massachusetts Miracle. When the election is over, its time to pull the stickers.

I was going to type mostly what you said, but you beat me to the punch.
You hit the nail on the head. Why our government can't think the same
way is unbelievable. We as the "little people" have to worry about all
the things you alluded to, or we get our butts in trouble. The government
way is to fire up the printing presses and make a few trillion more dollars.

Hawking on Sarah Palin's shortcomings, not liking John Mccain's flip-flopping, I chose "The lesser or two evils" as many around me did. However, for Christmas, a relative bought me a book (2009): Obama's Speeches and Campaign Promises. I saw them all, watched every debate, and was willing to overlook citizenship questions (what is the birth certificate?), questions on his past (we all had bad "friends" even if we did not know it), etc. EDIT: I wrote a note on this book, gave it to a friend; "Please accept this book. It is the largest collection of lies I have ever seen. Better for somebody who wants it to have it and for me to give it to them before I burn it or use it for toilet paper. Thanks."

Perhaps in some instances it is completely normal to be terrified of change people often say that people fear change but never is it spoken about that maybe they have good reasoning for it. He has NOT failed. He is killing the economy, running up the debt so high it won't matter even if he is NOT here now, he is DESTROYING America. So the courts overturned the moratorium on drilling; wow, a South American country took the rigs (separate articles) or "Seized" them. Then he allowed it. So if somebody voted Mccain, and he was doing the same things, then hate those he lied to? These idiots lie, and do nothing they promise. They need to face crimes, and instead of coming down on others for "copyright infringement" they need to be jailed for Constitutional infringement, and if they don't make decisions for the U.S., or whatever country they "represent", they can go to Afghanistan and lose their citizenship (IF they can prove they are citizens). MANY friends and family in the Armed Forces tell me, "Duty to the flag, the Constitution, and this guy keeps using the flag for toilet paper, treason, he has to be impeached or go now. While I was in church this morning our minister said we needed to pray for our country. he said we needed to pray for our leaders and pray for them to heed warning and gain wisdom so our country doesnt fall. Ive NEVER heard this kind of thing from the pulpit during the decades I have attended.
