Jack McConnell, the first minister of scotland was at the center of a major security alert when a man was spotted outside his 'official' residence'
carrying something which looked like a home made bomb.

The first minister's neighbours spotted the 39-year-old, who was wearing combat fatigues, acting strangely near Bute House in Edinburgh on Tuesday.
The suspect was taken to a police station where he was assessed and sectioned under the Mental Health Act.
It was later found that he was carrying nothing harmful

residences of people in goverment.
