Obama Administration Planning to File Suit Against Arizona Immigration Law

www.foxnews.com

The Obama administration plans to file suit challenging Arizona's immigration law, officials told Fox News on Friday.
... an official told Fox News on Friday that while the review is still underway, the decision has already been made that a Department of Justice suit will be filed. The administration at this point is just building its case.
Another official said there are still "substantial" issues to address and work out before the Justice Department knows that it has a strong enough...

Its one thing to speculate, and jab around with conjecture...its another thing to hear it straight from the horses mouth. While I am no fan of Fox News this is a mainstream source.

There is no more speculation at this point, it seems it is the Feds against The States, and this is never going to work out for the good of The United States.

This is the Fed, basically turning traitor on The States.
This is everything our Founding Fathers warned us about, all of thier greatest fears realized.

You ever heard of the Civil War? The Federal Government Always trumps state rights.

The states must comply to the will of Washington or they will withhold highway funding.

States sued the Fed over healthcare. Does the fed not have the right to use the courts when it feels the States have overstepped their boundaries?

If people feel this law is legal and will be upheld by the courts, I don't see why the concern.

You are neglecting to realize the states could also choose to refuse to remit tax funds to the federal government.

The feds only have what the people and the states choose to remit to them.

How about wasting the taxpayers money by filing frivolous lawsuits that serve nothing other than a political agenda?

That's a two way street my friend. Waste is a problem at every level of government.

If it is frivolous lawsuit, than I'm sure a judge will kick it out.

As for political agenda, just about every issue has a political agenda to it.

Dependent upon the judge that is.

Think Judge shopping isnt going to take place if this case actually makes it to court?

The feds will surely find a judge who agrees with their side of things.

Seems like a fairly accurate assement of the situation. Of course, ObamaCare is coming...that will save us for sure. That will cover all the Illegals, whether they be from Mexico, or Canada (thrown in to cover all of the hypothetical "if they were Canadian you would not be complaing") or wherever else. Maybe Golmans Sachs is the hen that lays golden eggs and can support the whold world?

People in political office can not wear chips on their shoulders and be effective leaders. That is also known as a personal agenda, or a vendetta. Dangerous either one to drag a whole nation along with you.
They might just decide they did not sign up for that, and rebel.

Never mind that the Arizona law isn’t in any way determining immigration “policy.” The law simply allows for Arizona authorities to detain those in violation of federal immigration laws. But let’s not let a few facts get in the way. Let’s explore that notion for a moment.

Even though the federal government is empowered under Article 1, section 8 of the Constitution to “establish a uniform rule of naturalization”, it in no way diminishes the right of a single state to enforce said rule as it sees fit. Arizona has not usurped federal authority of establishing naturalization; they have simply established a set of guidelines to enforce the law.

Why will Obama sue Arizona? Because he’s a statist who believes that the federal government is the be all end all for everything. The federal government is operated in Washington D.C., far away from the border invasion going on in Arizona. Who better than Arizonans to combat their problem?

This will never come to fruition.Their response is just last ditch politically
correct auto response. What is about to happen will make this just a footnote
in history. It is not about the two sissy prep school political parties anymore.
It is about the Historical Survival of The United States of America.
We are 200+ years old, and we are surrounded by cultures that are over
2000+ years old. They understand clearly the Law of Club And Fang.
Yes, the one that the illustrious Jack London spoke of in the "Call of the Wild."
Our leaders cowardice will be interpreted as weakness. This weakness will
be exploited. Make no mistake. In rapid decision or slow but intently over
time, until the time is right. The Art of War will occur as cleanly as a surgeons
blade. In the meantime prepare for chaos and disorder on a major scale.
Sort out your resources, and be ready to adapt to all changes.

In between, when you have a moment, Thank the earth, and life and
all the experience that has been given you in your sliver of time here,,,
and Never Give up Without a Fight. Lest the history books shame us and our
wayward grasp at freedom.

Exactly what I was going to post! cheers.

The feds put us in 2 wars that we don't want.
The feds ignore 60% of the nation's very clear support for the Arizona bill.
The feds are gearing up to support Israel and get us entangled with their fascist regime in supporting a blockade we don't agree with.

Time of the States supporting the Feds is nearing an end.

Obama administration lawyers are planning to file a legal challenge to a controversial Arizona immigration law within a month, according to a senior administration official.

The Justice Department would not confirm the claim, saying only that "The Justice Department is continuing to review the law."

Federal government lawyers who have been working on the expected challenge for several weeks will most likely file their arguments in federal court in Phoenix in the days leading up to July 28, when the statute is scheduled to take effect, the official said.

That is a news blip from CNN, it looks as if they will have plenty of time to shop for a judge.

The Confederate States seceded because they could not abide a growing central government dictating to sovereign states what they would and would not be allowed to do. They believed, so much, in the original constitution of the Founding Fathers that they copied it as the Constitution of the Confederacy. Google the Confederate Constitution and read it for yourselves. You will note a few changes, such as a single 6-year term for the President, but by and large, it is the original US Constitution.

We are living history today. We are watching our country break apart,a little at a time, and the root cause is the imposition of a central government, controlled by Socialist, Progressives, Marxists, Statists, Liberals, and even the odd Maoist thrown in here and there, which is drunk on power and lusting for even more.

Americans are losing their hard won freedom little by little as the Obama Regime takes advantage of every crisis, real or imagined, or just plain manufactured to instill fear in Americans that their only salvation is in falling at the feet of Obama, and his minions, and worshiping by sacrificing their freedom and swearing fealty to the current socialist regime which is, every day it seems, simply assuming the powers of an American dictatorship.

I have news for the socialists in charge of our government. Their orgy of power will end, and end very soon, or they will have only a part of the existing states to run rampant over with their atrocious acts of barbarism and vandalism aimed at the few freedoms the American citizens have left.

As much as the federal government likes to believe, and delude others into believing the states are not sovereign entities, they are WRONG!

Looks like today is the day.

The U.S. Justice Department is filing a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Arizona's new law targeting illegal immigrants, setting the stage for a clash between the federal government and state over the nation's toughest immigration crackdown.

The planned lawsuit was confirmed to The Associated Press by a Justice Department official with knowledge of the plans. The official didn't want to be identified before a public announcement planned for later Tuesday.

The lawsuit will argue that Arizona's new measure requiring state and local police to question and possibly arrest illegal immigrants during the enforcement of other laws, like traffic stops, usurps federal authority.

Tuesday's action has been expected for weeks. President Barack Obama has called the state law misguided. Supporters say it is a reasonable reaction to federal inaction on immigration.
