Obama Refocuses ICE from Illegals

www.newsmax.com

The Obama administration is reorganizing the federal agency of Immigration and Customs Enforcement to focus less on illegal alien deportations and more on criminal investigations and other duties.

“Officials hope to highlight the agency’s counterterrorism, money laundering and other complex criminal investigations and in the process ‘re-brand’ ICE, turning the public — and political — spotlight away from its immigration work,” the Washington Post reported on Thursday.

US Warns It Cannot Guard Arizona Section of Border

This is another assault on our sovereignty. ICE was desperately needed to combat the issue that they were supposed to deal with and now Obama is diverting their mission away from where it is needed most? What a joke! I do have to admit that ICE wasn't even very effective, save for a nice show to put on to the American people. Regardless, diverting their mission away from enforcing illegal entry into the country, is taking gigantic steps backwards.

When you add this to the recent thread about the US warning that it can no longer protect the Arizona border and it is clear that America is no longer sovereign.

I can't believe that the majority of Americans will be okay with this and hopefully this will serve to boot Obama and certain incumbents out of office in the next couple of elections. All in all, this doesn't surprise me in the least. Did we really expect anything different?

I guess it's a good thing many of the States are going in the direction of protecting the border themselves then. This administration gets worse and worse and seems bound and determined to weaken this country beyond repair. I may be out of bounds with this remark, but I can't help but wonder how much of a kickback Obama is getting from Calderon?

If or when the border States really swing into action in protecting themselves, I know several people who would be more than happy to go down there and help out.

HAHA! Thats awesome.

An Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agency that does not Enforce Immigrations and Customs issues.

Par for the course with this administration.

Apparently FEMA is not capable of controlling the American population sufficiently enough...

Time to call in ICE.

Realignment of goverment agencies is always done for a purpose, and usually not a good one.

Better keep an eye on this development.

It looks to me like another effort to allow cheap labor to benefit corporate interests at the American people's expense.

I don't feel this this thread got the attention it deserves. This is a big deal, horribly embarrassing for our country.

Illegal immigrants are supposed to be detained and exported when arrested, now they are released after 72 hours, but no punishment for auto theft, dui, drug trafficking and other offenses.

Obama wants the turn the USA into a complete police state for American citizens, illegals have free reign.

This is so disgusting...I feel bad for our troops, this is a disgrace. Our country is done, no point defending it anymore - we need to take it back, not other foreign lands.

Yes, isn't this just absolutely absurd? I mean, you couldn't pick a worse time for this tremendously stupid mistake, though I don't have a doubt that it isn't a mistake, according to Obama and his government. What a joke this is becoming.

Yeah I would say this is a big deal, just like when Clinton outsourced our production to china.

When are we going to demand a leader and not a puppet?

You know, even if we do get rid of Obama, we will just get another puppet in who will be just as bad, if not worse than Obama. With Bush W., we entered a new era of politics and ubnfortunately, it probably won't get any better, anytime soon.
