Here is the live feed of the coverage of the Congress hearing on the BP oil spill...they have just been introducing the members of the panel and the execs are yet to speak.

You mean they are having a big pony show on what we know today as the biggest circus in Washington?

Well most of the shows so far are nothing but low budget acts.

We know what is going to happen, no a darn thing.

Basicaly.

Aplogies for my brief opening thread, i just wanted to get the live feed out there for those who are not watching tv.

The panels opening statements raised a few eyerolls here. They say if anyone has a soloution to this spill, just pick up the phone and tell BP.

Yeah ok.

They also say that every other oil company that has rigs out there has no better spill plan that BP has. They would all have used the same proceedures that BP have tried.

Unfortunately it sounds like they are just talking about this spill as if it's the one leak at the one rig.

I fear this afternoon will just be a waste of time, better spent elsewhere on the spill.

Its not on my TV, I don't have cable. Shouldn't this be on TV for everyone in America to watch?

Thanks for posting, I am watching now. The executives will hopefully be asked some uncomfortable questions, but I don't see any real justice being served here.

Edward Markey - "I continue to believe that BP is more interested in liability than livability of residents of the Gulf and this hearing is just one indication of that."
