You can check if it's still transmitting or not. Apparently they check about every 6 hours to see if it's still up. Plain and easy....

??????? What is "UVB 76" ??? I clicked on the link and all it is is a blank screen that says "still transmitting."

I and probably some other readers have no clue...

That page can't be for real?
I looked at the page source code and it's nothing more than a bit of HTML to show a jpg image that says "still transmitting".
I would think if it were a live site to really show if it was transmitting or not that it would use some sort of java or other coding to auto-update. Also would require someone to constantly monitor the station or have a radio rigged up to their computer and software to decide if it's picking up the signal or not.
I smell a hoax.

A few of my buddies say it's checked every 3-6 hours from receivers around the world, and then it's updated according to if it's on or not. They got an email from someone telling them about the website, but they don't know who it is.
