Nice.

Someone who is on a low income is not a scrounger.

My in laws work VERY hard, combined they make less then what I make, and they have two kids to feed. They don't go on holidays, they don't have gadgets, they don't COMPLAIN. They just work and work hard.

Their daughter gets free school meals, they also get a small stipident to buy school uniforms and shoes.

I happily pay my taxes for people who work hard for minimum wages to get a little help up the ladder.

Your avatar says it all... the "stranglehold" of an ever open hand trying to scrounge off the 60,000,000 hard working people who are in no way responsible for lazy stupidity and the mess you've made of your life.

This upcoming so-called emergency budget is nothing more than a cash grab by the rich, the working man is going to foot the bill for the deficit while the rich get tax break and big business gets deregulated. s

This is just a sordid LIE.

It has been made quite clear to everyone that things like Child Benefit for the wealthy are being slashed.

You are obviously just socialist scum, embittered by having your booze-money and chance to bum around on the public's expense switched off.

If you would pay higher taxes to help the poor, why are you still scrounging free school meals off the state, buddy?

People claiming free school meals usually have a home. Those who really need the meals are the homeless who die nightly on the streets of Londno and as someone who has suffered over 6 months of homelessness in 2005, I can tell you that this systems is designed to pay out for those nice lower class people who think that they are poor by taking from the homeless. Remember, the homeless still pay a high price through taxes like VAT to fund all those FREE school meals you scrounge off them.

few quotes from the 'mailonline' dated 29/3/2010.
A Lewisham council job, £41.000 per year, promoting 'healthy weight'
Mid Suffolk, a 'development officer' teaching juggling to youngsters.
Job adverts in the Guardian newspaper 'community walking co-ordinators'
more than 5,000 jobs have been created by local councils to do with 'global warming' with the average pay being £30.000 per year.
I wont go on, this is enough, I have printed out the whole article, and it will be sent to the right honourable Nick Cleg, DPM MP, care of 10 downing street.
Perhaps if we all did that, he might do something about it? (not holding my breath)

privatised all of the public utilities

The asset value of the Public Utilities was, roughly, in total ZERO before privatisation as they were run on a backscratchy, self-interest serving basis before privatisation so all the employees could do as little work as possible.

ANd for every pound that was gained through their privatisation, a pound went off the National Debt and onto better NHS services.

It's been New Labour who have slept on their watch, allowing massive mergers that made their buddies to clean up at the public and customer's cost.

SO, someone who has to sleep on a friend's floor for the last 5 years and lives on the pennies he makes picking up cans and bottles has a silver spoon?

That's always the way isn't it? Homeless people are always viewed by so-called "poor working class people" as being somehow really wealthy and are actually somehow very wealthy and live on the streets because they somehow want to.

While some dude in Lewisham "promotes healthy weight", homeless people go without food and die at an average of 20 a night on the streets of London in winter...

Rather than employment or YTS, there si an alternative that no-one ever considers.

IF you check out the history of large corporations, you will find that huge numbers were founded by kids. For instance, Heinz was founded by Mr. Heinz who was 15 at the time.

The socialist have brainwashed everyone into thinkg that "hoodies: are a threat that can only be fixed by keeping them in school which is often ttotally inappropriate, until 18 and finding them a job serving Big Mac's/

The socialist "philosophy", a warped blend of vicious tosh and prejudice from a sick mind, will not consider helping teens to consider life as an entrepreneur, running their own shop or business and the basis of running a company.

UNder New Labour, this natural instinct for a person to run one's own business has simply ended up coming out in the form of legions of youngsters ending up as drug dealers. It is essential that this is changed.

In Canada, they have an alternative to "Hobseeker's Allowance" where they give you a lower amount of cash and for a more limited time, but lead you by the hand through the process of forming a company and provide free seminars and access to experts on how to run your own company.

GOOD! Its about time he did something about freeloaders like you, scrounging free school meals off folk like me.

Personally, I don't think it goes far enough. They should send you a bill for all the previous school meals you've nicked off the Birtish public, give you 30 days to pay and bang you up in Singsing if you don't come up with the dough.

I'm a freeloader? I work a part time minimum wage job while i try sort my life out so chill the hell out. And i dont believe your story abot owning a bussiness and now being reduced to picking up bottles for a living - Utter rubbish. (No pun intended) If it was true then you would be a little more empathetic for the MANY on the bottom of the pile.
You hate socialism? Then you must be a capitalist? Do you believe that only 5% of the worlds population should live lavishly?
I honestly though your post was a joke when you talked about sending people a bill hahahaha, seriously? Are you living under a rock or something? Cant pay a bill if you have no money!

No mate it is your attitude toward another poster that influenced my assumption. You certainly seem to stick everyone in the same bag. I myself have never had jack, yet for all the 'scroungers' there are, I understand that the life you are handed is what you must cope with. People in the lower classes are working to pay the bills, anything else they can afford is a bonus, and kids need an education to get out of that sh...

If indeed you are in the situation you describe, I sincerely hope you get a break.

Not everyone is a scrounger or bum, they have no other options left and in my experience, no one gives a fk in the government.

Hell, I was on Y.O.P. which preceeded YTS!

For pity's sake, how many are going to grow up and start a multi-million pound business?
1 in a million or billion?
What happens to the rest of the poor sod's?
Be realistic!

Instead of YTS or flipping burgers for Macdonalds why don't they go chimney sweeping.

Or perhaps they could go down the mines...oh that right, Thatcher shut them all down.
How about the shipyards, yeah, she closed them as well.
What about the steel yards, mills and foundry's...forgot, she shut them too.
In fact she either shut or sold off nearly every possible place someone could learn a trade.

And guess what?
They were all traditional (Old) Labour strongholds.
And what option did they have.
You got it...The Benefit System!
Yes, the Benefit System is outdated is has long ceased being the temporary crutch and helping hand that it was intended to be.
Yes, it needs radical reform and professional management.
But so many people were forced into it, there simply was no other option because there were or are no jobs!

The socialist have brainwashed everyone into thinkg that "hoodies: are a threat that can only be fixed by keeping them in school which is often ttotally inappropriate, until 18 and finding them a job serving Big Mac's/

You display anger and disgust at people who aren't prepared to work for the pitiful minimum wage then ridicule people for working at Macdonalds?
Hypocrisy!
And maybe, just maybe, it's the only job they can get but bacause of their own self-pride they want to work!
I actually know a University Graduate who is working at KFC because he can't get anything else.
There simply are no jobs anywhere around here thank to the incompetencies and sheer greed of both the Labour and Conservative parties!

You can't solely blame Labour for the shambles that is our education system!
I left school in '82 and it was a complete joke then!
And guess who was in power, you got it in one, The Tories!
Maybe Labour should have done better, but standards have improved, unfortunately the education is aimed at producing socially compliant drones unable to question anything or think independantly and whose sole purpose is to meet the mediocre tasks for our mediocre society!

What is a disgrace that for those who can afford it there is a far better level of education available.
Of course I don't blame anyone for taking advantage of it, it is only natural and I would probably have done the same if I had been in that situation.
But the fact that there is such a massive gulf in standards in this day and age is a national disgrace.

The socialist "philosophy", a warped blend of vicious tosh and prejudice from a sick mind, will not consider helping teens to consider life as an entrepreneur, running their own shop or business and the basis of running a company.

Nonsense, there will always be those who are inclined to the entrepreneurial lifestyle.
But if the banks won't lend money most people don't have much chance.
It was ok for them to get baled out by the taxpayer's though.
Those bastards should be put up against a wall and shot along with nearly every current politician!
And even when they were lending their charges were extortionate.

In Canada, they have an alternative to "Hobseeker's Allowance" where they give you a lower amount of cash and for a more limited time, but lead you by the hand through the process of forming a company and provide free seminars and access to experts on how to run your own company.

Courses like that are ten a penny.
But they are pointless if the indivdual hasn't the skills, idea's or ability to run their own business.
And if there is no market at the moment what chance is there of success?

Labour have not helped this country as much as it should have during their years in government and sold a lot of us down the river.
But to blame them for all this country's ill's is naive and displays a blinkered, dogmatic viewpoint on things.

No single party is solely to blame, and no single party or idealogy has all the answers.
The current party political system is outdated and offers little hope for the future.
We need radical reform of our electoral and parliamentary systems aimed at ensuring accountability of eleccted representatives who put their own belief and the interests of their constituents before the party line.

The Tory Party are going to decimate this country with their cuts and are going to blame it all on the previous administration when the reality is far more complicated.
