Experts Say White House 'Misrepresented' Views to
Justify Drilling Moratorium

The seven experts who advised President Obama on how to
deal with offshore drilling safety after the Deepwater Horizon explosion
are accusing his administration of misrepresenting their views to make
it appear that they supported a six-month drilling moratorium --
something they actually oppose.

The experts, recommended by the National Academy of Engineering, say
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar modified their report last month, after they
signed it, to include two paragraphs calling for the moratorium on existing
drilling and new permits.

as they added 2 paragraphs in the results
to justify their stance.

2 or more people involved is conspiracy.

Seems this is beginning to look more
and more like Bush.

Isn't this illegal ?????

And by the way, I do approve of
stopping the drilling but the way this
was handled is nothing more than
lying to the people and falsifying
government documents.

OK Obama, WHO is starting the conspiracy

So far it really does appear to be Halliburton, BP, GOP, and Republican oil chronies who are protecting big oil.


Any attempt to blame Obama
is being laughed at by the masses.

We are smart enough to know Democrats are against big oil.

it isnt to surprising realy we all know now obama has no morals or cares for democracy or law. what surprises me is that fox is reporting it, whats going on there? perhaps TPTB now actualy want us to start villinizing obama?

by makin a generalisation by saying the democrats are for or against anything differently then the republicans you are under the illusion that these partys actualy have any lines, the corruption is bipartisan so get over your imaginary lines.

FOXNews isn't really a news source if the news involves the Obama Administration. Everyone already knows that. Also, Ken Arnold is the only "expert" that's gone on record here, so that needs to be taken into account. As far as Salazar adding a couple paragraphs to his own report to the President...I probably wouldn't get all freaked out about that. Some Cabinet members actually draft their entire reports themselves.

The 6 month shutdown of new deep water drilling - since we've just discovered that the existing deep water drilling operations have no capacity to respond to the "unlikely" catastrophe - seems pretty reasonable. Let the deep-water platforms leave. The US doesn't get the oil that's drilled in the gulf anyway. The companies lease the rights, but the oil itself is sold by the companies that get it to the surface on the open world market and we are forced to buy it at the going rate. Just like Saudi oil.

But you already knew that, right?

Obama did 10 times better than Bush at handling this situation.****

Anyone who attempts to blame Obama will not be taken seriously.
