Up to 12 fighters fired machine guns and threw grenades before torching more than 50 lorries carrying military vehicles for Nato forces in Afghanistan late on Tuesday, Kalim Imam, a police officer, said.

The raid occurred in Tarnol, about 10km from Islamabad, on the main road leading to the border with Afghanistan.

It was the first so close to Pakistan's well-protected capital.

I made a point before that America's bigger plan is to invade Pakistan and not Iran.

The reason behind this point was for example the drone attacks, you don't see drone attacks in Iran. For example Pakistan being pro Taliban, Iran helping the US in regards to Taliban.

I believe Pakistan is fighting a proxy war against America in Afghanistan, this news is once again the evidence behind this point.

Taliban is alive and still active due to Pakistani support, no resistance group can fight without support from somewhere.

This happened in the Capital of Pakistan.

Didn't the PNAC documents indicate that they planned on a century long war against dozens of nations?

So that would mean the overall war strategy is global scale, consisting of operations in all theaters of war, even under water and outer space.

It really boils down to a 'wait and see' kind of thing, though.

We won't know their true plans until they unleash them upon us.

Thats the bad part.

Just more examples - aid convoys are destroyed and murdered.

This world has come to this..

At least in the old days, no-one would dream of murdering aid convoys.

It shows you where the world is now - at a point where killing is great, letting people starve is great, and killing help is great.

Shame upon the people of this world!

We deserve to be wiped out.

That is not really true.

Caravans were always prey to bandits throughout history in all areas of the world.

There were even so called "pirate nations" or "bandit cities".

The terminology "aid convoy" is relatively recent in the context you are using it in.

But the point is, convoys have always been attacked.

And in wartime, attacking the supply lines has always been a central strategy. For thousands of years.

I wish it weren't so!

But hey at least things are improving.

Consider the fact that traveling in a convoy anywhere in the world today (even Iraq or Afghanistan), is far safer than it was to travel in a convoy in any other general point in history.

The killing is actually on a lesser scale today than it was historically.

So things may actually be getting a lot better.

And hopefully, incidents like this will stay in history and out of our present.

The world has been murdered by greedy people.

Animals, plants and people are dying every day.

I find it difficult to think that we are in a better place than we used to be.
