JERUSALEM, June 8 (UPI) -- Osama bin Laden and his top aides are hiding in a mountainous town in northeastern Iran and Turkey knows it, intelligence sources said Tuesday.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is aware that bin Laden, his chief lieutenant Ayman al-Zawahiri and five other high-ranking al-Qaida leaders have been living under Tehran's protection for the past five years, military intelligence Web site Debkafile reports.

It's funny how Bin Laden is always suspected to be in exactly the place we'd like to invade. I hope this "intelligence" isn't used as an excuse to invade Iran. That could quite easily spark a third world war

Yeah, this is all part of the propaganda campaign to invade Iran and perhaps Turkey as well since their involvement with the Israel fiasco.

I don't even think the general population will believe this nonsense, they've been trying to fin Bin Laden for 10 years now and if they knew where he was they would not tell us, they would just go in there and get them.

I really think the CIA needs to look up some copies of an old game I played once called "Where in the world is Carmen Santiago" it basically involved the player taking on the role of an Interpol officer and travelling from place to place searching for clues, obtaining a warrant based on those clues and making an arrest.

I feel it will teach them some critical thinking and investigative skills they seem to be lacking at the moment.

It's a good staging area. And they need to finish killing the "insurgents" and terrorists that inhabit the country before transferring power to their pet warlord.

He is in Iran, he is a big on hunting with Kestrel's and is a regular at the elite hunts whereby extremely rich people attend and bring with them very expensive and easy to move/use equipment and goods such as fleets of Landcruisers and gold - these things are simply left when they leave... Sort of like gifts but nothing is said.
