I'm surprised about the surprise surrounding recent events. We all have talked about these days for years, and as surreal as they are, we must maintain poise. The universe has guided us to this end-point of history, a point where we either graduate or fail, cooperation v. manipulation. The outcome will not be readily known because it is rarely apparent. The oil geyser will not be stopped by the people who set it in motion until it's achieved the necessary amount of calamity it was designed to create. Confusion, chaos, despair. They are terms we will be hearing for some time to come. It's best we come to terms now.

Then get promptly arrested for for polluting the enviroment with dumping straw in the sea, and get put away for years ! Yep, surely the way to go.............................However with due respect it is Naieve to think that we can mop this up, no matter how many of us could try, there is no way we would even make a dent in this. I have never been a believer in the Anti-Christ being Obama, but if he ends up as the one responsible for completly destroying the oceans, then by default, he has been the one spoken of. This fragile Blue / Green gem in the universe, has been set on self destruct, I honestly believe that this will be the death of life on Earth.

Actually it is a proven method of cleaning up oil spills that has been used in the past and we could make much more then a dent in it! We could save the marshes where much of the marine life in the area gets it start! It's not pollution hay is organic it is a green solution non polluting.

I don't care if its banned etc. So are we going to just watch the environment die there because a bunch of government toadies decree it? Jindel is worthless like the rest of the government as governor he has the authority to tell them to kiss off.

Imagine thousand of people showing up with hay in those marshes? Thousand of boats heading out to clean it up? How are they going to stop it? This is a threat to the lives of the people in that region are we just going to let them run over us once again?

If we can't stand up for ourselves here then I am almost ashamed to be an American anymore...Sigh!

To those who are down there and doing what they can God speed and thank you for being true Americans!

I have a created a thread for this too: www.abovetopsecret.com...

They are definatley too clean to be ridding the beach of oil. Also, did you see the little picture of oil on a beach? Then when you look at where Obama is standing, you don't see a bit of oil. Those workers are spotless because they are cleaning a clean beach. The one in the foreground hadn't even got his bag open, so he certianly hasn't done a bit of cleaning.

Please tell me exactly how the POTUS could have fixed the problem? You seem to know something that no expert on this planet seems to know. I'm waiting ...

I share the same frustration with all the lies going on from BP and the POTUS.

They are just trying to save their arses.

im not pretending to be an expert on this matter however with todays technology and the trillions of dollars that is wasted on other "projects"..tptb cannot block a hole 5 miles underwater or siphon it off or possibly drill another well to releive pressure or something? we can send spaceships to other planets and doctors can preform surguries thousands of miles away.yet this problem has been allowed to grow way out of control when maybe a rapid response by someone with power might have limited the damage.i dont know all the answers i just know that its been over a month of irreversible damage and obama just went there now for a photo op? doesnt seem right to me.how about you?

FYI: They are working 24/7 on two relief wells. They will be operational in AUGUST.

thats what they are saying. i choose not to beleive anything as to what they say.they can put up huge buildings in weeks yet its gonna take months..months?..to put in new wells?.you know for a fact that it takes less time probably to install new wells at sites that may have potential profits. what id like to beleive is that people would be willing to work around the clock to get these new wells in place. but like i said before i am no expert. too may people beleive what too few people tell them

I understand your frustration, but deep oceanic well drilling would be very tough work, I'd imagine.

I'll apologize in advance to anyone who may be offended by these remarks and to anyone who is directly affected by the situation, but I honestly think this may have a benefit to it. It is going to take something like this happening before we ever rid ourselves of oil as a society. They won't just switch because we ask them to. Too lucrative to keep us all slaves to a substance that is completely unnecessary.

Wow.. That's pretty low.. You have to wonder though, what heartless bastard actually comes up with these ideas? .. I'd love to meet that staff member and punch him in the face.

This country.. I swear, words fail me to describe it anymore..

Wanna know what's ironic? That you used the term intellectually pathetic and then wrote an entire paragraph that can be pretty much demonstrated as false.

This is a fascist nation. This debacle is a perfect example of big business' influence over a nation's policy.

Anyhow, all we can hope for is for people to continue to get more and more upset and BECOME the change that we all know is needed. This society has been way too apathetic for way too long.

I was making a point that the cycle of naming continues from president to president. As soon as a politican starts acting like a politician people throw around the most extreme label and cry that the sky is falling - even when the term doesn't fit the situation. One election it's the fascist cry and the next it's the socialist...
I absolutely agree with you on the influence of big business. It's a unfortunate byproduct of capitalism. But, to say that this is an outright fascist nation...well...is obviously not true. Are we headed in that direction? Capitalism is the breeding grounds for it so it's quite possible if not probable.

I know a girl who has always called BP ''big penis''.

Any time she goes there for gas or snacks or beer or cigarettes she says ''I'm going to the big penis. Does anybody need anything?'' She is being nice and helpful and looking out for everybody who may need something of sustenance from the big penis.

I wonder what is on her mind. I wonder now that the BP pipe is gushing if she is going to the big penis more frequently.

They do have that great French vanilla coffee.

I couldn't agree more. The "leadership" in this once-great country is one great con and it's been a con game to them for quite some time now, culminating with what you see today. I've said it to people I know and I'll pass it along to the viewers here: The politics at the Federal level in the United States Corporation are that of a relay race where every four or eight years the runner hands the baton to the next guy who keeps running it down the track. Sooner or later the race will be run, but by then they'll have stolen every ounce of wealth from every single Carbon Slave Unit on the planet, if they're still alive, along with the wealth of every generation to follow for the rest of time. The only answer is, wake the hell up, break the chains that mentally bind you (turn off the TV and stop paying for their poisons and eating them, clean your little corner of the world, and stop feeding your masters). When you've done this, you'll be horrified at just how completely enslaved you once were by seeing how completely totally wrecked others still are. Next buy a metaphorical parachute and hold on, the ride's about to get a little bumpy. Bring your barf bag...

I beginning to think they have a very bad agenda in plan for us. I mean this President and this congress are doing things openly that they know will get them voted out. It's almost like they know their not going to be removed from power.
