Can this be "just" the oil (which is bad enough) or is there more going on? Could this be due to the chemicals which BP used to stop the surfacing of the oil just after the dissaster happened?

Crewmembers on 3 boats reported signs of illness but as much as 125 boats were called back.

According to this website trueslant.com... the fishermen had to sign a statement not to hold BP responsible for any claims and damages.
