Wasn't sure if I should post this in the Science and Tech threads or here, but I figure it'd fit here just fine.

Came across this while researching something else. They plan to launch one man into space later this year. Unlike Spaceship One,however, it is a rocket launch from the ground to space. Pretty cool IMHO.

Once the commercial space race begins, it will quickly blossom, from nations all over the planet. No one is having to re-create the wheel, here. The space flight science is now clear cut enough that many will be able to compete.

As I wrote several weeks ago on another such thread, I fully expect that by the time I eventually retire, I expect to fly in space commercially. The technology is already out there.

Yup, I fully agree, and sure do hope so! Its expensive now but the more common it gets the cheaper it will be.

Anyone know of any similar programs? Besides Virgin Galactic of course!
