Yes, I think the most logical explanation would be a plane. Just a regular plane that has green and red navigation lights.

Was it a green laser? They are incredibly bright and are the bane of Astrophotographers. They are normally banned at star parties because they tend to ruin exposures.

I posted this back in May I think about an image I had taken of what looks like a green meteor (satellite?)...anyways, there were lots of ideas of what I had caught, but I saw this today and thought that maybe it helped explain my image. Thanks for reading

I had a look of the biggest available resolution of the pic of this you have on Flickr. I'm calling a plane, since for the whole lenght of the trail, there are spots of light included along with it, which suggests navigation lights.
