So all the posters above me think it is great that people are fighting their governments efforts to cut expensses and become economically sustainable?

So what is it? Do you guys think the governments can just keep overspending into oblivion?

I wish our government would cut costs, so that we would have a chance to get back on track.

What do you hope to gain by the left rioting against government cost cuts?

The first thing that every government should do is state, clearly and unequivically, that a democratic capitalist system does not bail out corporate entities and that it will stop this immediately!
It's fascism to do so. We all now technically live under fascist rule.

So they need to stop that once and for all. Let the corporate entities that have messed up fail. Smart people move their money elsewhere. Smart people educate themselves to know that when a bank is in trouble and you want your cash, you'd better be one of the first 10% in line to get it otherwise you've sank along with the bank.

Instead of letting five or six insanely greedy and irresponsible massive corporations sink and then deal with the limited consequences, our governments have made the problem a thousand times bigger by creating the bailout bubble. What could have been a fart at the dining table has now become a tornado that will destroy the house, thanks to the corruption between banking interests and your government.

The banks are still announcing massive profits, still dishing out bonuses, still buying up other businesses and taking that bailout money elsewhere. And the people are now expected to tighten their belts because the banks gambled and governments let them be so irresponsible without any restraint?

Any real government would be securing the futures of its own citizens right now by promoting sustainable industry, limiting exposure to outside financial entities that are far too powerful, promoting self-sufficiency in food and energy production/use, cutting government bodies and departments that don't provide value for money, taxing the wealthy and refusing to do business with nations that don't comply with standard rules...
There are thousands of things that a government should have done and should be doing, and simply isn't doing because of corruption and the influence of evil bodies like the World Bank, IMF, Central Banks, and all the corrupt and disgusting money junkies trading out there.

THAT is why people are angry and protesting.

If you're not angry about this you clearly don't understand the mess we're all in.
We should all be out there protesting austerity measures because we were not the ones who created this mess and yet we're the ones expected to pay for it, and while those responsible continue to get bonuses!

It's insanity!
