I agree...This is not the USSR and we need to stand up to this. Unfortunately, the number of people that are awake are far fewer than the ones still asleep. The sleepers will not wake in time unfortunately.

Your frustrations are genuine, real and palpable, but I also know you well enough to know that you know full well we can not discard the rule of law in favor of feel good legislation. To support this legislation is to support just one more power grab by a state. We must absolutely protect our borders, and it is the federal government who must do this. Work with me brother in convincing this court of public opinion that the expansion of government will lead to disaster as it always does, and let us both show this public there are better ways to protect our borders without discarding the rule of law.

We must tolerate porn, actually I don't really find porn intolerable, but for those who do, they must tolerate it because the pencil used to erase porn will surely be used to erase other expressions of speech. This legislation offers the same peril, for it will only be a matter of time before that state is using this legislation as an excuse to intrude into the private lives of people, or more correctly, to intrude even further.

Of course I know the problems with overbearing government. But hell, it is time to continue on with their plan.

This is just another cog in the plan to eliminate borders.

To eliminate sovereign nations.

To eliminate the US Constitution.

I say it is high time they start the endgame scenarios.

What does a country need to survive?

Currency. Check.
Jobs. Check.
Borders. Check.
Defense. Check.
Food. Check.
Energy. Check.
Infrastructure. Check.
Laws. Check.

I say the endgame is upon us JPZ.

Might just as well get the ball rolling.

I predict there will be riots escalating in the upcoming months.

History does repeat itself over and over.

Through chaos, order will prevail. You cannot stop their boulder from rolling down this hill, they created.

I see they expect by this fall the US to be in utter chaos. I have NEVER seen so many people leaving office as what has been announced.

Sit back with a beer, or in my preference a Captain and Coke or cognac, and watch the country rip itself apart. They cannot institute their final plans if the US is still strong.

Bring it on, it is just getting interesting.

You can't have an endgame unless your playing a game to begin with. How are the rules to this game working out for you? Are the rules written so that all who play have an equal chance of winning? NO? Well what's the answer to that then? Consider what I call the Captain Kirk Principle. Do you know his legend of beating the computer simulated no-win scenario? He re-programmed the computer so he could win.

WHEN THE RULES OF THE GAME ARE WORKING AGAINST YOU THEN CHANGE THE RULES!

What is it about this law that people do not understand?

During any lawful encounter, an officer has the duty and responsibility to establish the identity of the person to be charged in court for their infraction. Presumption of innocence is not the officer's job - enforcing law is. It is the court and judge's responsibility to presume innocence and place the burden of proof upon the officer(s) responsible for filing the charge against the individual.

This law states that, if at any time during a lawful encounter, one's identity and citizenship status cannot be ascertained, the person in question is to be deferred to immigration authorities.

Under National law - anyone passing through a point of entry or who has become a legal citizen of the U.S. via immigration must carry their federally issued identification that displays their citizenship/migrant status and gives them legal right to be in the nation.

If you don't have them - you're already charged with up to 60 days in prison and/or a $100 fine. If you never had them to begin with - Immigration services dutifully escort you back over the border and recommend you pursue legal avenues of immigration.

You do not have the right to be anonymous when involved in a lawful (enforcing the law) encounter with an officer. Simple as that. To suggest otherwise is to propose lawlessness and render the entire system of law defunct.

If we want to adopt an open border policy with Mexico and simply call ourselves "citizens of planet earth" and proclaim anyone inside of our national jurisdiction is a citizen - then that's our prerogative. However, that is not what the law currently states. We cannot say: "Yeah, well, the law SHOULD be this way, so that's the way we're going to do it." That's not what the law says. It is the authority and responsibility of the elected members of legislative branches of government to change old laws and make new ones. The law stands currently as it stands - it must be enforced as it is.

Or - hell, everyone can just be on their OFP, I'm sure we'd all thoroughly enjoy that.

Operation Shield: DHS Officers Armed With Semiautomatics Running Unannounced ID Checkpoints

DHS training in the streets. Just "randomly" popping up and asking for ID's.

So what would happen if one were to refuse their polite request to identify yourself? Many states have laws against police officers demanding ID without just cause. Is DHS above the law? I know, silly question...of course they are!

www.dailycommercial.com...
With their blue and white SUVs circled around the Main Street office, at least one official was posted on the door with a semiautomatic rifle, randomly checking identifications. And other officers, some with K-9s, sifted through the building.

But it was only Federal Protective Service officers with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security who were conducting a random training operation early Tuesday morning when they surprisingly showed up at the Social Security Administration office in downtown Leesburg.

Does anyone have true stats on how much violent crime is taking place at the Social Security Offices? I'm guessing not much if any.

But it makes me wonder if these are drills for something to come. People being denied? No more checks because of more Government cut backs (theft)?

Actually, the reason isn't going to reveal itself until it's time but to have this happening anywhere, anytime and to ID anyone in the vicinity is just a precursor to what is coming. This is exactly what people said could never happen. Well, it's happening.
According to one Homeland official in the Washington, D.C. office, Operation Shield. is an effort that uses routine, unannounced visits by FPS inspectors to test the effectiveness of contract guards, or protective security officers -- "detecting the presence of unauthorized persons and potentially disruptive or dangerous activities."

From one commenter:
www.blacklistednews.com...
Or could it simply have been a show of force to prepare people for what is coming down the pike?My guess is that's a more accurate description of what it really was!Like I've said before, how many times have this group of thugs ever told you the truth about what they are doing.Welcome to ameriKa,papers please!

And I see I am not the only one outraged by this:
www.dailycommercial.com...
Wow! (by: Matt - 1/5/2012) Not even DHS agents. "Operation Shield. is an effort that uses routine, unannounced visits by FPS inspectors to test the effectiveness of contract guards ..." . So the govt. is hiring thugs with assault rifles to harass citizens getting their social security checks? Kind of Libya or Syria I would say. I guess they will need to enforce martial law when SS finally runs out and the people riot.

Why? (by: Todd Out Loud - 1/5/2012) Why is there a need for this kind of nonsense in this country? I guess when the financial structure collapses, the government will use any means necessary to keep the citizenry in line. Where is the Sheriff to remove these thugs from the county? Let me guess, our Congressmen must have traded our sovereignty for federal law enforcement money? Americans, quit allowing our government to play us as victims and fools. Turn off your damn televisions and start paying attention to what is going on in Congress. This is not a Republican vs Democrat issue, this is a matter of liberty vs tyranny.

Show me your papers or I'll machine gun you? (by: Jasonn - 1/5/2012) Most of those federal law enforcement weenies are WAY out of control and this story shows a real good example. Those guys are dressed up like a SWAT team with automatic weapons to check a few IDs. Pure intimidation and conditioning of the American people is what's going on. You'd expect to see something like that in the old Soviet Union or Nazi Germany, but not here in MY America. How long are we going to put up with that stuff before some agency heads get canned?
