I came across this on you tube, what ever it is it is trully facinating. I really cant decide what this is. I think its more likely to be a meteor but given the supposed location and the visual awe i cant decide.
What do you think. Im bang into ufology but this, regardless of what it is has me thinking.

Wow, that was a great shot.. of whatever it was.

I am trying to figure out if at 1:10 it was bursting through a cloud or not.

It definitely appears to be in our atmosphere, especially with the way the "smoke trail" was spiraling at the end.

It is hard to judge the trajectory it was coming from as well.. it almost looks like it was land based.. but I am not sure about that.

Interested to see some other viewpoints on that one.

Nice find.

I was gob smacked when i watched it, what ever it is , its amazing.
Has anyone any info wether there was a meteor shower recently?
Is the location valid?
Is the trajectory normal if it was a meteor or would it relate more to possibly been a ufo? Sooo many questions here?

Just noticed that this exact same footage was uploaded November 20th 2008 ....

www.youtube.com...

There they are saying it was a test missile.. which would explain why the trajectory did look like it was coming from land.

that *could* be a meteor - but the most likely culprit in my eyes is a rocket re-entering the atmosphere because of the break in the stream after 1:05. this does not rule out a meteor however.

bear in mind the fact its tail "glows" is not unusual in the slightest - this is occurring at dawn or dusk, and is obviously at high altitude. while the surface is in the sun's shadow, objects high above it are still bathed in light.

If you read the description under the one I posted.. the guy is actually suggesting it was filmed in 2002.

As far as the 2002 date being verified, I have no clue.. but that one was definitely uploaded in 2008.

confirming it is a rocket launch, though it was not a re-entry as I previously assumed. specifically, a minotaur rocket.

in this video, you can even see the point it flies out of the earth's shadow, the first to second stage transition, and the wind twisting the contrails into a spiral.

Seemed awful similar to the "Norway failed Russian missile test" to me.
No spiral, but same general principle.

Another giant coincidence is all,I guess.

How many more of these "Failed Missle Launch's" are going to continue to pop up again and again, all over the world I wonder?

that is most certainly not a failed launch. it's a multi-stage rocket.

That definitely appears to be a missile or rocket launch. 00:59 to 1:53 you can clearly see it separate its staging. We see similar launches here in FL all the time from the cape. The noctiluminescent cloud at the end is typical from the release of fuel during staging into the high altitude atmosphere, where it freezes instantly into a cloud of ice crystals. The ice at that altitude will glow in the dark from the sunlight shining on it from over the curve of the earth.
