Supreme Court strikes down law banning animal cruelty videos and pictures .

In an 8-1 ruling, the United States Supreme Court struck down as unconstitutional a federal law which criminalized the sale of "any depiction" in which "a living animal is intentionally maimed, mutilated, tortured, wounded, or killed."

www.examiner.com...

This really sickens me, a win for the psychos.

Well it would have only criminalized the sale of such images and video. That would not have stopped it from still showing up.

Hi, GM. S&F for you. I saw this article earlier & it made me sick that they cited the Freedom of Information Act in order to allow this.

I'm certainly losing my faith in humanity.

I think these types of videos should be ranked the same category as Snuff Films & the creators & participants be prosecuted to the tenth degree!

Edit: Added another thought.

After having actually read the article this is a pretty silly scare tactic. The supreme court was simply addressing the broad generalization of what animal cruelty is and doesn't want the government involved. This doesn't change cruel and unusual punishment to animals in anyway shape or form.

Hi all.

If you want to see what we do to animals, because
we eat meat, wear furs, and use leather ?

See a film named "Earthlings" ! !

Blue skies.
