Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki said Monday that two of the country's most wanted Al-Qaeda terrorists were killed by U.S. and Iraqi forces.

The two Al-Qaeda leaders were identified as Abu Ayyub al-Masri and Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, Reuters reported.

Iraqi commandos killed Al Qaeda in Iraq chief Abu Ayyub al-Masri, accoring to Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

Not sure how this will be viewed in the Middle East. Either as an Islamic government helping to curb radical extremism, or as a puppet government of the US killing Islamic freedom fighters.

I just read this on Yahoo news. This should be a big break for America and our allies.

We can expect videos from Osama bin laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri on this news fast. They'll just make a reference to the deaths as martyrs.
