Not to mention I was just looking out for peoples safety. Nevertheless I'm happy to hear it was a false flag. No harm, no foul.

That would be false alarm.
Have to be careful what you say on ATS.

Here is the updated report (unless I'm completely wrong and it's still not been updated, but I highly doubt it): 3.2mag EQ

A false flag can mean more than one thing... it is interchangeable with conspiracies and other events such as this one. A false flag can be an event where you thought something happened and it didn't - as in "Oh, okay man, false flag there." People don't have to take everything so literal. But I do see what you're saying.

Who knows though, maybe this really was a 8.0mag EQ and it WAS a false flag event, or some sort of underground nuke testing... I have no idea. But sending out alerts for a 8.0mag EQ that turns out to be a 3.2 seems like a big jump downward (oxymoron) doesn't it?

Hmm, deleted? So it goes from Mag 8 to Mag 3.2, and now it's been deleted/removed?

Cover-up anyone? I haven't been watching EQ's long, but I've never seen this happen before, I've seen screw ups, but nothing like this. Am I making a big deal out of nothing, or is this possibly something more than meets the eye?

Apparently was a malfunction/false report of some kind. Do computers play jokes? Good on the OP, though, for speedy reporting.

It's their master plan to kill everyone on the Florida coasts, the southeast coast and the gulf coast. They want Florida dead man and we will be wiped away soon. When you hear of 10 million people in FL dead you will know that it was intentional to kill off the unemployed and the elderly which are in huge numbers here.

Stop making everything out as april fools jokes. This is ATS. The reason you are here is because you are open minded. April fools is over.

Well i'm just glad it was a 3.2 and not a 8.0

Mistakes happen in Seismic Readings and often the data has to be overlooked by Seismologists once the readings have been churned out from the computers to determine if the readings are accurate. The most likely thing the USGS did this morning was to simply ring up the nearest offices/embassy to the epicentre and ask if they felt anything.
Not to mention with a 8.0 quake they'd soon see other seismic data coming out across the continent.

USGS says reports of earthquake off Dominican Republic are false, caused by computer errors.

Actually that is very shallow. The deep ones are 100 km or more.

What happened to this one? Did it evaporate?

Oh just spotted final post above me.

Seems to be a lot of glitches lately.

Edit: Been doing some checking. This has NOT been deleted and IS a 3.2 (and therefore of no significance whatsoever). I guess that confirms the topic title.

Well some people have posted it was deleted, and now you post it is now there... something is going on...

Like I said, and by the way obviously I started this thread in fear for peoples lives when I first got my text alert, it seems there may be something fishy going on here (no pun intended).

Some sort of nuclear testing cover-up? I mean it went from mag 8.0 to mag 3.2 to being deleted as an error... and now it's showing up again? Or did it never disappear? I think it did disappear though because multiple people reported it WAS deleted. So what is going on?!

i am down the road from this location, about 30min drive. No earthquake of this magnitude (8) for sure. Maybe felt a 3.2 , but 8.0 definitely not.
