Obama makes 15 recess appointments

www.reuters.com

The move intensifies an already bitter partisan atmosphere in Washington and Republicans swiftly condemned the action for sidestepping Congress, which goes into recess for its spring vacation on Monday.

Recess appointments, which have been used by both parties, evade potentially difficult Senate confirmations required for senior federal posts by making the appointments on an interim basis when lawmakers are out of town.

The further along we go, the more concerned I am that Obama is obsessed with power, and control.

He appoints 15 on a weekend before Congress goes on vacation.

This kind of posturing is assuring his absolute power, and we all know about those who desire absolute power.

Not only that, but he is making anyone that opposes him into a terrorist.

A quick overview of history will show that when leaders do these sorts of actions, bad things follow.

Its on the news:

Bush during this point in presidency had 5 still waiting
Obama has 77 waiting.

Obstructionism for the simple act of obstructing is bad, m-kay

Hey Obama...you cant do things...the republicans want to shut your administration down completely...you cant show a backbone...the hard right wont like it.

funny stuff.

Like lighting a building on fire, blocking the fire station, then getting angry when the owner of the house grabs a fire extinguisher

Makes sense.....Obama appointments are 15 times as extreme as Bush's. The funny thing is, just like the government takeover of health care, not one single Republican vote is needed to confirm any of his appointees.

Looking for bipartisianship? We have it. It is in the form of opposition to Obama and his radicial appointees.

This recent action by Obama implies some type of advance knowledge about something so major that making these 15 appointments was viewed as being a good idea.

As of today, here on ATS is has been reported on Reuters that federal troops led by the FBI have gone in to arrest the Michigan Militia groups.

Anyway, Obama's actions imply that he has some concerns that we the public are not aware of.

Thanks for the posting.

Talk about hitting the nail on the head. Obama is whining about the Republicans blocking confirmation for at least the last six months, when it is his own party doing the blocking.

Yes, because Bush was very non-radical. total nothing happening administration there...no shady deals, extreme views, wars, patriot acts, etc etc etc...

puppets...nothing but puppets.

incidently, it needs to go to vote to be processed...its currently being held up from voting by the minority obstructionism...not because there is vast agreement.
Deny ignorance...or not. your choice.

I'm always baffled how people compare Obama to Bush.

It was Obama who was offering change, yet we get more of the same.

Bigger government, less liberty, stolen wealth and outright lies.

I agree. All of his appointees are Satan's children. This is just another example that Obama is the anti-christ who wants to make us all slaves to his heroes...Chairman Mao and Hitler.
