What may prove to be of even greater interest to authorities was the discovery that mob hit man Frank Calabrese Sr., a key figure in the Family Secrets trial, had secretly taped possible "criminal conversations" with other mobsters. Agents found recording devices, suction cups used to monitor telephone calls and about a dozen apparently used microcassettes, including one with the name of a convicted Outfit figure scribbled on it.
Agents found about 15 manila envelopes stuffed with $728,481 in mostly $500 and $1,000 bills. The approximately 1,000 pieces of jewelry were still inside display

What make's this story so interesting, is that they do not know what may be contained on these tapes. Who know's what secret's are within these recordings. Also, just imagine if as typical the Fed's would have sold this home at auction, and someone else had found all this hidden loot. Make's ya wonder what will be revealed, and what will remain a secret, from these audio tapes.

That would be some interesting tapes to listen to. If you don't ever hear about whats on the tapes that would mean he recorded Politicians that were involed with the mob.

That money they found must be VERY old. They haven't printed new 500 or 1000 dollar bills in years. The only thing they could possibly be used for now is bank to bank transfers then to be exchanged with the local FED for lower denominations! Might have been from a bank heist back in the day and they got the wrong bag of money!!

Yep, and if we don't hear about the tapes, we'll know, and if we do hear them and it's Old Blue eye's frank singing a tune, we'll know as well.....
