Apratment bombs and Padilla

I just read that they have released this information on Padilla. After reading it, I realized that there was an occurances such as this desrcibed that went "unexplained" in the media where an apartment exploded.I believe it was in California. Could that have been a dry run that went bad such as Padilla planned? Living in Florida this is a possiblity with all the old people.Old People can go unnoticed for years let alone a months

I was just wondering if you had any information on that explosion. Thanks.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Jose Padilla, a former Chicago gang member now held as a terrorism suspect, sought to blow up hotels and apartment buildings in the United States in addition to planning an attack with a "dirty bomb" radiological device, according to government documents.
