You never answered my question.
So if you think that taxes are the government stealing from you than why try to fuss about the amish not paying taxes? If someone was robbing my house i would not be screaming about how they should rob my neighbor.

The Amish live within self-sufficient communities and do not collect Social Security, unemployment, or welfare benefits. According to their religious beliefs, paying Social Security, an insurance premium for the elderly, is tantamount to not "taking care of their own." Amish people who are self-employed are not obliged to pay Social Security tax, but they do still pay all other taxes, including property, income, and sales tax. If an Amish person decides to work outside of the community, he or she must also pay Social Security tax like any other American.
It is however, a myth that the religeous organization is exempt from filing and paying tax on their income. They must file and comply to the same tax laws as any other American must do. They pay Federal Income Tax, State Income Tax and Local Income Tax when they file their returns. They also pay Property Tax and School Tax, even though many of their children do not participate in the Public School Systems. Because they must file their Income Tax Return, they are also entitled to the Income Tax Credits that are available to taxpayers, although it is very common for the Amish to decline and not apply for or accept such credits as the Earned Income Credit, Child Tax Credit or even the Fuel Tax Credit that is available for Farmers who use offroad fuel on their farm equipment. In my experience with them, I've found them to be hard working and simple people who only want what they pay for. They pay their taxes and ask for nothing in return. Many times they end up paying more Income Tax than required because they don't take advantage of the credits that would offset the taxes owed.
Don't bash the Amish. They are some of the best citizens around.
