Non-Italicized Quotes??

It really bugs me that quotes on ATS (except news excerpts) are highly italicized and hard on the eyes.

It would be so much easier to read if it was straight up and down text for quotes. It's not like its hard to tell its a quote (with the different background for the quoted text, indention, etc)

Anyone else agree??

I actually prefer it.

edit to add-I had to see what you meant. No, do not see much difference to the eyes in non italicized compared to italicized.

instead of the normal, in site quote which you made in your post.

I kinda agree with the OP. For external quotes, I think it's a bit much. But, it may be good to have because I think that some may not notice the little black bar to the left which would tell you the text is coming from an external source.

Heck, I have never used the external tag.


So I was wondering what was going on.

My technique is to post a link to where it came from and than use the internal quote code. Hmmmm?
