Ha ha Obama a Socialist, yeh right?! You do not understand how ridiculous that sounds to a Brit and any other Western Europeaner. He is no where near a Socialist. Typical Right Wing Propaganda.

If he had major Socialist inclinations he would be pushing hard for the inclusion of a strong Public Option or just any Public Option. I wish he was more Socialist for your sake! He would be taking on the Banks in a lot stronger form and creating massive Public Works to get people back to work.

Socialism in my country allows people to fall back on a good benefit system in this horrible economic climate. People do not have to worry about how much it is going to cost when they see a Doctor or visit a Hospital. It is no where near perfect in my country and these benefits are abused by a minority. But i would rather that than be left on my arse when things fall apart like succsesive U.S Administrations have done to the American people and which your 'Socialist' Obama is continuing.

In America it does. America is far larger, it would be like a massive centralized socialist program set up for the entire continent. Which hell, will probably happen one day. But the tables would turn drastically .. when you have to up the standard of living of all eastern European countries through the West's taxes.

In America a single state could theoretically support it's own populations healthcare expenses, many states have small populations, and most states have very respectable income disparity levels.

As it is a national program will have the entire Union funding the excesses of states like California, New York, Michigan and so forth. The Illegal population of California alone would be higher than most of the entire Midwest would spend on her own people.

Quite simply: We cannot afford it.

Personally, I do not believe people are entitled to a comfortable landing when they fall on their ass.

I watched the end of it when the president was gone. It was just different representatives talking about health care reform and how Obama's health care would drive up costs. By forcing people to purchase insurance those insurance companies would make their insurance more expensive.

I am so sick of that spineless man and his whining. Last week, when I heard how he talked to John McCain, any respect for the man I had, was gone. Telling John McCain, a POW and a heavily experienced Senator, that the "election was over". No matter how you feel about John McCain, it is simply outrageous for a President to speak to anyone with that over pretentious attitude.

I don't think I have ever heard a President speak to anyone like that. I look forward to the day that he's defeated in the next election. No president should be sniping at anyone. If you want to snipe at people, go get a job in city government and stay there.
