Enough with the distraction and discombulation.

You must have missed this:

Again.

I think 2 questions are being mushed together, quite inappropriately:

1. Is the climate changing? (Yep.)

2. Is the "Cap and Trade" plan the right solution? (Nope.)

I'm not missing anything. I have a better idea of how the atmosphere system works than most. The climate will change regardless of what people we do. I agree we play a role but there are far more important enviromental issues we need to focus on.

One important note on CO2 is as CO2 concentrations go up, O2 (oxygen) concentrations go down.

Someone mentioned ozone holes.

You know, we can MAKE ozone.
Ozone only does it's job of blocking the UV radiation at the upper levels of the atmosphere. It is formed there by radiation from the sun striking oxygen(O2) to form O3. When ozone is found in the lower levels of the atmosphere it is classified as a pollutant ( it is a constituent of smog ).

The whole ozone thing was another moneymaking scam the government and their cronies ran on us years ago, now it's another scam. AGW

Not sure if you realized it, but that post was a response to beancounter, not you.

Such as? (Not that I don't tend to agree.

Good point.

...I sometimes wonder about the tendency for new compounds to form in our altered atmosphere. And am curious about the potential impacts.

Rain forest destruction.

Other chemicals in pollution negatively affecting bio-chemistry on the surface.

Mass extinctions.

It seems like the only people trying to do something about any of those things are just labeled extreme liberals or etc. and ignored.
