Ive given up my freedom to be here in a 3rd world country to but end up being in the process. Is this enough?

One time I gave up video games and I got so much done. it was amazing. Another time I fasted alot and it made me appretiate food on a different level.

Thats fine except a sacrifice is for the benefit of others,
not oneself. Hopefuly the time you saved from video games was put
to the service of others. Prayer, fasting, service, is the meaning of lent.
