Mr Crowne while I can appreciate why you consider Ann's article to be so well written and insightful, I fail to understand why you believe she should
stand for President. Does she have other qualities apart from scathing honesty that qualify her for the post? And from a more cynical viewpoint would
not her honesty and intelligence disqualify her from reaching the heights of public power?
I have no issue with anything she states in the first half of her article, but the second half would be better off in a cheap tabloid! Who other than
Hilary, Anna and Susan are these fireman loving feminists of whom she writes? Generalision in this fashion is a tactic to be avoided in serious
journalism. Is she seeking to discredite feminism en masse?
Perhaps you breed a different type of both fireman and feminist in the states. Here in the uk fireman have always been heroes and respected and
admired by most women. If our passion for them goes beyond their duty then it's usually put down to the uniforms
(later on)
I did take some time to check out Ann's own site and read some of her other articles, so now begin to understand her issues with the less respectable
crew of feminists, especially after reading about the work of Phyllis Schlafly
