545 vs. 300,000,000 You must read this. It is non-partisan! EVERY CITIZEN NEEDS TO READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THIS JOURNALIST HAS SCRIPTED IN THIS MESSAGE. READ IT AND THEN REALLY THINK ABOUT OUR CURRENT POLITICAL DEBACLE.

Charley Reese has been a journalist for 49 years. Error! Filename not specified.
545 PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army and Marines are in IRAQ, it's because they want them in IRAQ. If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper.

What you do with this article now that you have read it is up to you.
This might be funny if it weren't so true. Be sure to read all the way to the end:

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts anyway!
Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,

Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in Which he's laid.

Put these words
Upon his tomb,
Taxes drove me
to my doom...'

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY? Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What happened? Can you spell 'politicians?' And I still have to 'press 1' for English!?

I hope this goes around the USA at least 100 times! YOU can help it get there!
GO AHEAD -- BE AN AMERICAN!

You, as a citizen of the United States, have the ability to run for office.

You, as a citizen of the United States, have the ability to vote someone out of office or into office.

Of your list of taxes, of course they didn't exist 100 years ago.
Computers didn't exist.
Nazi's didn't exist.
Russia still had a Czar and England still had a king.
There were only 46 states. (New Mexico, Arizona, Hawaii, and Alaska still had yet to join the union)
There were 92 senators and 391 representatives.
Pluto hadn't been discovered.
There were 124,000 cars and 144 miles of paved roads.
The average life expectancy was 49 years.

The point is, things change. Sometimes for the better, sometimes not.

And yet somehow the people vote them right back in. I would have figured after the faliure of both the Democrats and Republicans over the last 10 years, the people would begin to vote alternative. Instead I see the tea party patriots rallying more GOP candidates and the liberals making excuses about why the Dems failed to get true healthcare reform.

its about time we take some damn responsibility as well.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Good question. I would go so far as to also wonder why the people choose to accept and support policies that contribute to this deficit.

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You vote for the president and he is held accountable to you (regardless of what conspiracy you have about "control" "NWO")

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You vote in these representitives, they do so with the silence of the people.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You vote in the members of congress.

We are in depressive times, and our politicians have dissappointed us, on both sides. But I am sick to death of people trying to make scapegoats. It is time, just like the politicians, that we the people take some damn responsibility for our own apathy, for our own support towards the actions that got this point.

Take some damn responsibility, rally third party and think up solutions, not things to complain about. Thats what we need to do now.

Actually he's wrong. They only have the power WE give them. WE repeatedly vote these idiots in time and time again. So the blame falls on us 300,000,000.

I'lll say it plain and simple. Americans are too #'in STUPID to vote properly. The whole damn society is littered with distractions and diversions. So what is obvious will never be acted upon en masse, ever. People vote as if election day is the super bowl.

Well am I on a conspiracy forum or am I on a conspiracy forum.

Let me take a moment to emphasize a ‘CIVIL COLD WAR’ is being waged in the United States. It has been going on since when there where two parties clashing each other.

I’ve been doing my homework, 300 mil people sounds more like the 300 mil people in the US that are counted on those stones in Georgia excluding the 200 mill people in the other UN nations. The nations run by the build-a-bears, and yes I do know their real name.

These guys remind me of the ones on the syfy channel at one AM in the morning.

To make a direct statement to the topic I know more about Obama now than I ever needed to know. If you paid attention to the SoU speech you notice every time a statement is leaked about the bush admin Nancy Polocy is always cheering and or laughing, as if this is incredibly the design of all of the speeches by Obama are approved by his cabinet. My theory seams to be playing the fact that Obama was giving the speech simultaneously in two languages. The fact that he stated the number 300 million suggests that this was either intentional or just a random number. But when I remember the fact that there is a culling limit to the Bilderbergs of fewer than 500 million people around the world I find through my best forensics in decrypting coded fallacies that he was indeed not addressing the nation as a hole but instead only addressing a population of elitist and that is why we vote him out in 2012 or there will be a December where after few will remember the truth behind the fact that they are still alive.

it's probably a wasted effort seeing this tread is almost off to page two but i'm going to bump it up anyway to try to get the people replying on the other threads to try and look at a different revinew of thinking.

thinking directly instead of perseuing the obvious, people fail to realise that half the time they go insain looking for the answers when they are offten no further than hiding in plain sight in front of them. i've been playing this game for 25 years with different results throughout my experiances with the concequences of politics.

you know what just sip it for a moment, in my ultamate opinion of the CIVIL COLD WAR i'd have to bring up a ton of out side issues conserning the atrosities from the left. you ask me of what i think about the 9-11 conspyracies, i will have to just say that this was to propostorous for a brand new administration to accomplish within a year. do i not believe that 9-11 was an inside job, of course not, there was defenatly an inside job but not from the republican party but from those bilderburg people, think for a moment in history where everyone here knows of the chemical implications concerning the food industry, but why not other industries as well, such as the painting industry. THEY KNEW IT WOULD HAPPEN, CLINTON TOLD THEM IT WOULD. this is where and why i make my stand on the issue of the lefts war against the right, the explosive paint used in the bombing assumed by those elitst like mikle moore and the horde of other scum are the result of a planned exicution by crusifixtion, seing the builderburgs can no longer assassinate people in public they have to torch them with planted traps as a tool to avenge the invasion of their plans.

why, why is it that the war in iraq was a sofa king big deal to the liberal party, heck they want to leave them now and they are still being bombed by the thugs over there.

it's because SHS and his family was a member of the builderburgs, and a high ranking official to.

9-11 was conspiroriesed to crusifiy George W Bush for killing a member of the society.

i may be stretching the accusations amungst my own superstitions but when you realise what makes since to these people you get a bigger picture and that picture is the all untouchable criminal mob thats just simply out to gain control and by all means.

i refuse to wear any head peice that is constructed of aluminum or tin.
