Dozens of homes were evacuated in San Antonio after the ground below began shifting, creating crevices up to 15 feet deep and nearly splitting a nearby retaining wall in half, officials said.


The earth is doing alot of moving lately it is quite scary in my opinion. From earthquakes at Yellowstone and Haiti to strange weather to sink holes in Florida now this!

Hi Misoir,

I am in Florida too, and we have 11 sink holes, that recently appeared, in my neighborhood alone....

I haven't heard about any sinkholes here on the First Coast. I watch local news every morning and they haven't said anything about it. I wonder if it's just central Florida with the problem.

The Texas hill country is full of caverns and underground crevasses. A little settling now and then maybe? Maybe not?

This is happening right down the street to me, rumor is it was bad engineering, not mother earth's revenge.
