Hey everyone! This is my first time I have started a new thread! I am not offering my own speculation about the following images, I just want you guys to explain to me what they are, if you can. I was browsing around on World Wide Telescope and cam across the following object (coordinates listed below images) I encourage anyone interested to use WWT (DSS images) and look at the thing for yourself b/c my screen shots are relatively low resolution.

The object can be found at the following coordinates:

"Top" of the object:
RA: 06h50m38s
Dec: -56:30:28

"Bottom" of the object:
RA: 06h51m15s
Dec: -57:24:49

Other Pictures:

This first picture is a screenshot of the entire object.

"Bottom" of it...

Thanks guys I am looking forward to some info!

I realize the spiderweb thing is an artifact of the camera, but I am not concerned with that... I am curious about the "funnel" type object hidden therein...

The large circular spiderweb thing is a confirmed artifact of the camera lens, but the wormhole/funnel shaped object is intriguing...

It is a reflection of the secondary mirror, the piece that hangs in the center of the telescope. Like this:

The funnel shaped object that looks as if it is made of gas or dust is a reflection?

They are all the same color of blue, so it’s a pretty safe bet that the observatories working lights are blue and those are all reflections within the optics.
