What would you do if you were president then....if you think you could do better?

To have an idea of the curse of existence under these last, they must be seen. It is a government of wolves over sheep. It is a problem, not clear in my mind, that the 1st condition is not the best. But I believe it to be inconsistent with any great degree of population. The second state has a great deal of good in it. The mass of mankind under that enjoys a precious degree of liberty & happiness. It has it's evils too: the principal of which is the turbulence to which it is subject. But weigh this against the oppressions of monarchy, and it becomes nothing. Malo periculosam libertatem quam quietam servitutem. Even this evil is productive of good. It prevents the degeneracy of government, and nourishes a general attention to the public affairs.I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, & as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical. "

I would execute the following plan... one developed by The Congressional Institute, back in 1993...described here Why 435 LINK

The plan would include increasing the number of house representatives. Instead of 1 congress critter and 4 staffers.. I would have 5 congress critters and smaller congressional districts. This would allow a person to run for office without having to sell his soul to big money.

I would institute a Constitutional review committee whose job was to cut the number of Federal regulations in half in 90 days.

I would tell the Governors of the states that the situation was so out of hand that SUCESSION from the FEDERAL Union should be moved for in each state and I would volunteer as commander in chief to oversee the new formation of a new government.

I would demand that all members of the armed forces stay true to and re-affirm THEIR OATH to support and protect the US Constitution, while helping me to throw the bums out.

I would put Bernanke and his rich pals in Guantanamo and hang them upside down until all of OUR MONEY fell out. I'd let the corrupt "FEDERAL" Government keep the "Debt" and start anew on a gold standard.

I would end secrecy of all kinds, break up the media conglomerates, and throw the execs of goldman sachs to the mob.

I would bring the troops home to defend the US Constitution from all threats foreign or domestic.
