The CIA cycle of monster creation continues

The CIA has allied itself with Ba'athist exiles from Saddam Hussein's Iraq for intelligence in Yemen. The same "monsters" who we chased out of Bagdad are now our allies in the fight on terror in Yemen. These are the guys who fled from Iraq to Yemen in the wake of the US invasion. The ones who were to dangerous to be allowed any vioce in the Iraqi "puppet"government.

Now they are our allies again in Yemen, continuing a vicious cycle thats gone on for years;


The New American

This was not the first time the CIA has allied with the Ba'athist Party. It did the same thing back in 1968 against a supposedly greater adversary, a Soviet-allied military Iraqi dictator. We got Saddam Hussein as the new dictator in his place. The CIA's history with both the Ba'athist Party and al-Qaeda is long and twisted:

• 1968: The CIA helped to install Saddam Hussein's Ba'thist Party in a bloody 1968 coup, of which Hussein was party secretary.

• 1982: The CIA creates the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan to fight Soviet aggression, which becomes Al Qaeda. (Osama bin Ladin himself started his radicalism with his activity in Afghanistan.)

• 2001: The U.S. government goes to Afghanistan to destroy the al-Qaeda/Taliban organization it had helped to establish with the anti-Soviet mujaheddin in the 1980s.

• 2003: The U.S. government goes to Iraq to destroy the dictator that its CIA had helped to install back in 1968.

• 2004-09: The U.S. government establishes Saddam Hussein's henchmen as an influential power block in Yemen.

• 2009-10: The United States goes abroad to Yemen and begins bombing missions to defeat a brand new terrorist threat from Yemen.

With such a history, one might wonder: Is the CIA to be trusted when it talks about an “intelligence success” in helping former Ba'athists?

President John Quincy Adams said in a July 4, 1821 (as U.S. Secretary of State) address to the House of Representatives of his country that “she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.” It's still true, though we don't have to search for monsters. We now go abroad and raise up the monsters first, before we then go back to destroy the monsters we created.

Are we ever gonna learn?

They aren't on OUR side and they aren't on THIER side.
The CIA only has interest in maintaining itself.

The CIA creates monsters because there are not enough actual monsters to keep the military-industrial-congressional complex going. Do you think 9/11 may have been done by the government or at least allowed to happen? People say the government would never do it, but operation northwoods was approved by the joint chiefs of staff in 1962 and included plans to stage terrorist attacks including hijacking planes and was declassified in 2002. Also Dick Cheney's former company halliburton made some nice profits inIraq, and they pushed through the patriot act.
They (CIA) also create most of the drug problems in the world. Look at where we have gone to war since WWII. Vietnam-heroin, golden triangle area; Afghanistan-opium trade. It is obvious they also bring coc aine into the country, as one of their planes crashed in florida carrying 4 TONS of coc aine.
They also assassinate a LOT of people. Anyone that tries to change the way things work and help the people or any musician who speaks out against what is going on winds up dead. ie John lennon, JFK, MLK, RFK, recently Paul Wellstone, many foreign leaders and perhaps even michael jackson (I didn't believe it either until I heard his new songs which are somewhat political, especially a song titled 'they don't care about us'. Which is not the kind of thing TPTB want people thinking).
I think they do all this because it gives them a lot of money, and perhaps they are controlled by the worldwide shadow government. They also need a reason to justify their existence, and terrorism is good for that.

Thanks for your responce, I thought the CIA was just inept.

It seems they are more skilled at what they do than we thought. Unfortunately, what they do is NOT protecting the American people, it's maintaining their jobs that they are good at.

There have been stories of CIA drug traffficing for years. Iran Contra comes to mind. It seems they use the drug money to finance their covert operations. The ones they don't want Congress to find out about.

The CIA is a rouge operation and should be shut down and investigated. They stopped doing the countries bidding long ago and have served only THEIR OWN agenda for so long they don't even stop to consiter what's in the countries best interest anymore.

They can't help but create monsters because they are monsters themselves.
