Invetech has delivered what it calls the "world's first production model 3D bio-printer" to Organovo, developers of the proprietary NovoGen bioprinting technology. Organovo will in turn supply the devices to institutions investigating human tissue repair and organ replacement.

Well....this certainly is cool!

It seems like we are approaching a truly faithful rendition of Phillip K. Dick's future vision. Alot of the things he wrote about seemed outlandish at the time, but here we are, making devices that are featured in his stories.

Is this a good thing, though?

Yes. It does seem as if we speak our future into reality. Whew....I am going to have to think on that one. Great find and thanks for the thread, it will be very useful.

If this works I think it's great news, like all the other break throughs it seems it a wait and see thing or we nothing about it again.
