Sorcerers of modern times

What is your idea of a modern day sorcerer? Do you know of any individual who is a modern day sorcerer? What do they do that makes them one? Wouldn't a modern day sorcerer be anyone making weapons out of dangerous chemicals or medicines? Wouldn't the pharmaceutical industry be of dangerous sorcery due to the bad side effects thier medications cause people? Do you know anyone suffering from bad side effects from any medications?
